Deep blackberry cassis and dark chocolate provide the underlying muscle while spicy cedar, cherry, earth and spice nuances dance above. A rich, broad wine showing off its soft fleshy tannins, great texture and long lingering flavors. Kosta Browne 2015 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands
$99.99Monterey California
James Suckling 93 Rating
Very floral and beautiful with plum and citrus with hints of smoke. Medium to full body, creamy texture and beautiful length. Firm and silky. Dry and beautiful. Drink or hold. SP6-1 -
Luce della Vite 2016 Toscana IGT
$99.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 96 Rating
A ripe but suggestive nose of dark cherries, dark chocolate, hot stones, cassis, brambleberry pie and bark. Yet, on the palate, this paints an altogether different picture, in which sleek tannins carry fresh layers of forest fruit long, through a compact, full-bodied palate. Powerful acidity steers it through to a restrained but chewy finish. Drink from 2024. SP44-1 -
Louis Jadot 2020 Beaune 1er Cru Clos des Ursules
$99.99Cote de Beaune Cote d'Or Burgundy France
Wine Spectator 95 Rating
A picture of elegance and finesse, with cherry, strawberry, floral and stony mineral aromas and flavors, this red is charming and seamless enough to enjoy now, yet will improve with age. Fine-grained tannins and bright acidity provide structure, while the finish lingers. Best from 2024 through 2042. SP4-6 -
Quinta do Noval 2015 Vintage Port
$99.99Douro Portugal
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The 2015 Vintage Port is the normal blend of Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Tinto Cão and Sousão, all from the estate, that spent 18 months in barrel. This full-bodied, rich, opulent effort offers textbook plum and raisined fruits with loads of candied black olives, orange rind, and spice. Despite its richness and depth, it’s surprisingly fresh and lively, with integrated acidity, sensational purity of fruit, and a brilliant sense of elegance. It needs a decade of cellaring and will keep for 3-4 more decades. SP60-12 -
Heitz 2018 ‘Lot C-91’ Cabernet Sauvignon
$99.99 – $960.00Napa Valley California
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Expressive, with a bold menthol note followed quickly by boysenberry and blackberry compote flavors wrapped in black licorice. The long finish has a tug of earth amid a generally velvety feel, while the menthol note curls around the fruit. Distinctive.

Far Niente 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
$99.99 – $570.00California
The Tasting Panel 97 Rating
Made with grapes sourced from Rutherford, Calistoga, St. Helena, and the winery’s home in Oakville that aged 17 months in French oak, this impeccably balanced and complex red is as elegant as it is emotive. Blackberry and clove-spiced cedar line the mouth, erupting with graphite and espresso. Finely grained tannins adhere to dusty plum and lavender. Most stores $119.99

Chateau Brane-Cantenac 2020 Bordeaux Blend Grand Cru Classe
$99.99Margaux Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
This estate has been on a roll, and their 2020 Chateau Brane-Cantenac is another brilliant wine that readers will love. Largely in the mold of the 2019, it has a deep purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, black cherries, freshly sharpened pencils, tobacco, and flowers. This medium to full-bodied, richly textured, concentrated, yet remarkably elegant 2020 has the vintage’s fresher, focused, elegant profile but still brings plenty of flesh and opulence. Beautifully done, it’s going to evolve for a solid 30 years in cold cellars and offer incredible pleasure all its life. Best After 2027. SP47-6 -
Chateau Brane-Cantenac 2019 Bordeaux Blend Grand Cru Classe
$99.99Margaux Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
One of the standout Margaux, the 2019 Château Brane-Cantenac shows more elegance and finesse in its tannins and structure than most. Giving up a beautifully complex nose of cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as cedary spice and spring flowers, it’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, has a seamless mouthfeel, beautiful purity and precision, and a great finish. This is certainly the finest vintage I’ve tasted from this Chateau, surpassing even the 2018, although comparing these two vintages side by side over the coming years will be a true treat. Drink this beauty any time over the coming 20-25 years. Best after 2022. SP52-6
