  • Denner Vineyards 2018 Dirt Worshipper

    $79.99

    Central Coast California
    Wine Advocate 96 Rating
The 2018 Dirt Worshipper Syrah, blended with a 1% splash each of Roussanne and Viognier, is a stunning Syrah, with an opaque ruby-purple color and a powerhouse nose that's fierce and wild: iron, black licorice, tar, chargrill and coffee emerge along with sparks of white pepper and intense cassis-like fruit. The palate is incredible, exploding with flavor but grounded with round, plush tannins and loads of juicy uplift that carries the long finish. It evolved over many days after the cork was popped, which suggests it will age gracefully in the cellar over the next 15+ years. 1,298 cases produced. SP15-1

  • Epoch Estate Wines 2015 Tempranillo

    $79.99

    Paso Robles California
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
I suspect the finest vintage to date, the 2015 Tempranillo shows a more elegant, seamless style that’s reminiscent of some of the great Tempranillo releases from Spain. Tons of black fruits, charcoal, charred meats, and graphite notes all give way to a full-bodied red that has a weightless, seamless texture, building tannins, and a blockbuster finish. I haven’t had a truly aged Tempranillo from California, so I hate to push too hard on the aging curve (especially when it’s this good already), but I suspect this will have over two decade of longevity. • Epoch Estate Wines 2016 Authenticity Red

    $79.99

    Paso Robles California
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The 2016 Authenticity checks in as 89% Syrah and 11% Mourvèdre that spent 19 months in 70% new French oak. It's always the most powerful, opulent wine in the lineup, and the 2016 is no exception, revealing a deep purple/blue color as well as a heavenly bouquet of black and blue fruits, crushed violets, graphite, liquid rocks, and chocolate. With full-bodied richness, a building sense of meatiness, ample tannins, and a huge finish, it's another magical wine from this estate that needs to be tasted to be believed. SP26-5

  • Pax 2014 Syrah Castelli-Knight Ranch Russian River Valley

    $79.99

    Sonoma County California
    Antonio Galloni 94 Rating
Inky black and massively concentrated black fruit, black pepper, tar and roses complete the brilliant aromas of this classic California Syrah. A bit more of a bruiser than the 2013, this 2014 is the perfect foil for a fatty piece of Lamb or your favorite Cowboy Steak fresh off of an iron skillet. The tannins are velvety and the fruit intense, which reminds us mostly of the 2004 version of this wine with a lower abv. SP19-1

  • Corley Reserve 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $79.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has rich, flashy flavors of spice and crème de cassis, and it will reward some time in the cellar. The tannins are strong, but the wine is drinkable now after decanting and especially when paired with steak. It will soften and mellow in 7–8 years, and it should last at least 15 years while gradually losing fruit. SP27-6 R41-3

  • Robert Foley Vineyards 2014 Kelly’s Mountain Cuvee Cabernet Sauvignon

    $79.99

    Napa Valley California
    Enjoyabilityfactor 95 Rating
100% Cabernet Sauvignon from Atlas Peak. The 2014 vintage produced fruit with firm acidity, small berries, and soft tannins. On the nose, there’s black fruit, black berry, black current–screaming with ripeness. Full-bodied on the palate, with a rich mid-palate, fine tannins, and smooth finish, which, with the wine’s natural acidity, goes on and on and on. R30-1

  • J. Bookwalter 2015 Volume 5 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $79.99

    Columbia Valley Washington State
    Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon wine hails from the esteemed Dionysus Vineyard. Reserved aromas of fresh herbs, coffee, bittersweet chocolate, cherries, raspberries and plums are followed by plentiful dark fruit and chocolate flavors. It's all about subtlety and nuance, with enough structure to go the distance. R1-1 SP25-2

This is made from grapes grown at Three Palms Vineyard, alongside other valley floor and mountain fruit, including 10% Merlot and smaller percentages of Petit Verdot, Cabernet Franc and Malbec. Smooth, lush and robust in dark cherry and plum, it's fruit forward and full bodied, with considerable ripeness. SP25-2

  • Hunnicutt 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley

    $79.99

    California
    Enjoyabilityfactor 94 Rating
In the glass, rich aromas of blackberry, crème de cassis and chocolate covered cherries mingle with a flinty minerality and hints of anise. This wine has an abundant entry with lush red and black fruit notes, showcasing the interplay of Cabernet and Merlot in the blend. Subtle expressions of oak, espresso and caramel rise up in the mid-palate and form a beautifully structured finish of fine grain dusty tannins. SP22-1 R43-3
