A jeweled ruby color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino Tenuta Nuova takes things to the next level at this estate. Offering a deeply layered bouquet of kirsch, dark chocolate, crushed rosemary, and lavender oils, on the palate it’s rich with flavors of blood orange oils, velvety tannins, warming spice, and a long finish that soars above and beyond, with saline accents taking it to the next level. The bouquet in incredible and keeps going for ages. It spent 36 months in 500-liter used barrels Drink 2026-2046.

  • Crown Point Vineyards 2017 Estate Selection Red

    $147.99

Happy Canyon Santa Barbara County California

There’s a purity to the nose of this bottling that reveals deep, lush waves of boysenberry paste alongside a savory tone of charred beef. Polished tannins frame the sip, where ample amounts of rich black plum and blackberry are enhanced by caramel, coffee bean and mocha flavors, with acidity holding tight into the finish.

  • B Cellars 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Ehrlich Vineyard

    $149.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Advocate 96 Rating
The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Ehrlich Vineyard is from another spot in Oakville. The production of this wine is 750 cases of unfined and unfiltered Cabernet Sauvignon. B Cellars is starting to get my attention and is one of the more exciting and newer producers in Napa Valley, and although they’ve been at it for a while, I have never tasted wines of this quality from them. This is spectacular Cabernet Sauvignon that offers up cedar wood, blackcurrants, blueberry, incense and graphite. It is full-bodied, powerful and rich, but with sweet tannin and the 2014 hallmark of suppleness and charm. Quite deep, opulent and stunningly rich, drink it over the next 20 years. R39-1

  • Turnbull Wine Cellars 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard

    $149.99

    Oakville Napa Valley California
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating

Another single-vineyard Turnbull utilizes is the Fortuna Vineyard. The 2014 Cabernet Sauvignon Fortuna Vineyard is a larger cuvée of just over 700 cases of dense, purple-colored Cabernet Sauvignon. It has a nose of glorious blueberry and blackberry fruit with licorice, incense and floral background notes, with a full-bodied superb richness and a long, layered mouthfeel. This is elegant and at the same time seriously endowed and capable of drinking well and evolving for 20-25 years.

  • Turnbull 2017 Leopoldina Vineyard Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

    $149.99

    Napa Valley California
    Vinous 96 Rating
The 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon Leopoldina Vineyard is powerful and heady, with all of the intensity that is typical of this site on the eastern hills of Oakville. Dark, savory and powerful, the 2017 has so much to offer. The balance of intense dark fruit and muscular tannins makes for an absolutely compelling Cabernet.

  • Clos des Papes 2015 Châteauneuf-du-Pape

    $149.99

    Southern Rhone Valley France
    Wine Spectator 98 Rating
This offers a drop-dead gorgeous core of cassis and raspberry pâte de fruit flavors that hold center stage but still allow notes of Lapsang souchong tea, anise, incense and shiso leaf to chime in. Very long, with a sublime feel through the mineral-tinged finish. So seductive already, but this should cruise in the cellar. Drink now through 2040. 6,000 cases made, 850 cases imported. SP36-1

  • Chateau La Gaffeliere 2015 Grand Cru Classe Saint-Emilion

    $149.99

    Bordeaux
    Vinous 97 Rating
The 2015 La Gaffelière is a wine of total finesse. Much less obvious and overt than most Saint-Émilions in this vintage, La Gaffelière makes its case on harmony and grace above all else. Bright, lifted Cabernet Franc-infused aromatics give the 2015 striking freshness and aromatic presence. The flavors are bright and nuanced to the core, with plenty of red cherry, espresso and floral notes. But back to the basics. In 2015 La Gaffelière is a wine that stands out because of its impeccable balance and sense of proportion. I loved it. Tasted two times. R29-1

A warm wine rich in tannins and with succulent berry fruits, this is both powerful and elegant. Its density doesn’t detract from the fruitiness that shines out of the wine and balances with the structured aging potential. *Editors’ Choice Award* R29-1

There are just 30 barrels of the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Blueline Estate, a blend of 79% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Petit Verdot, 8% Malbec, and the rest Cabernet Franc. It’s a medium to full-bodied, concentrated, yet elegant 2021 with ripe blue fruits, some violet, leather, and herbal nuances, fine tannins, and a vibrant, focused, classic style that’s going to age gracefully.
