  • Saint Cosme 2017 Saint-Joseph

    $49.99

    Northern Rhone Valley France
    Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
Layers of dried sage, bramble and green peppercorns lend a Sauvage appeal to plump, juicy black cherry and plum in this wine. It’s a full bodied but graceful Syrah fringed by fine tannins. The finish is delightfully floral, etched by violet and rose-petal perfume. Lovely already, the wine should drink well through 2027. SP36-5

  • Bodegas El Nido 2021 Clio

    $49.99

    Jumilla Spain
    Vinous 94 Rating
The 2021 Clio is a blend of 70% Monastrell and 30% Cabernet Sauvignon, sourced from the 1936-planted Zingla Vineyard in Jumilla. Aged for 23 months in French and American oak, this garnet-hued wine offers complex aromas of herbs and plums, complemented notes of mint, balsamic and ash. Concentrated and rich on the palate, it flows with a silky texture, culminating in a velvety finish. This is a ripe, sun-kissed red with a precisely executed barrel-aging regimen. SP40-11

Combines personality with polish, offering floral cherry and tomato leaf aromas and layered, plump cracked pepper, Asian spice and smoky plum flavors. SP17-5

The 2015 Evangelho Heritage Wine is another highlight in this lineup. Sublime aromatics, red stone fruit and finessed tannins elevate the Evangelho. Nuanced to the core, the 2015 exudes class and pedigree. The Evangelho is not as obvious as some of the other wines in the range, but it is among the most beautiful. Drink through 2027. SP12-8

  • Occhipinti 2021 Siccagno Nero d’Avola

    $49.99

    Sicily Italy
Siccagno” by Arianna Occhipinti winery is Nero d’Avola with elegant notes of ripe plum, blackberry, black currant and a spicy finish, warm, enveloping, with a lovely freshness and with a maceration of 40 days on the skins. R39-6

  • Charlie Clay 2021 Pinot Noir Russian River Valley

    $49.99

    Sonoma County California
On the nose, aromas of black cherry flesh, river stone, crushed violent candy and tangerine rind comingle with delicate sweet-soil tones. On the palate, sweet red fruits, black truffle and a strong mineral vein get support from a core of polished tannins and freshness. This precise structure provides an element of tension and purpose. While just starting to show its layers of detail, this wine will drink beautifully over the next 5-8 years. Only 239 cases made. R17-3

  • Chateau de Pez 2019 Red Blend

    $49.99

    Saint-Estèphe Bordeaux
    Wine Advocate 94 Rating
This year’s blend is 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 de Pez comes tumbling out of the glass with an astonishingly beautiful perfume of lilacs, black cherries and black raspberries over a core of stewed plums, clove oil, dark chocolate and Sichuan pepper. The medium-bodied palate is jam-packed with energetic black fruits, supported by a firm foundation of ripe, grainy tannins and lovely freshness, finishing long and perfumed. I love where this once-malingering château is headed—bravo to winemaker Nicolas Glumineau from Pichon Lalande! R14-3
