Occhipinti 2022 Terre Siciliane Rosso SP68
$29.99Sicily Italy
Decanter Magazine 91 Rating
Named after the road that flanks the estate, Sp68 is an entry-level blend of Nero d’Avola and Frappato. It offers a taste of the estate’s signature style at an affordable price, displaying inviting aromas of ripe strawberries and raspberries, with some floral and herbal elements in the background. Ripe acidity underpins the mid-weight core of sweet red fruits, making for a deliciously easy-going mouthfeel with a briny and peppery finish. Aged for approximately six months in concrete vats. Drinking Window: 2024-2027. R9-6 -
Domaine La Tour Vieille 2022 Banyuls Rimage 500ml
$29.99Languedoc Roussillon France
Grenache is picked slightly overripe, and only ferments briefly with whole bunches before alcohol is added, thereby stopping fermentation while there is still a considerable amount of residual sugar in the wine. The wine then macerates for another approx. 6 weeks before pressing. The palette is round and soft, without becoming alcohol-heavy. Here are lots of both red and black berries, and a nice little seasoning at the end.
Must be ordered. -
Château Picard 2017 Saint-Estèphe Cru bourgeois
$29.99Bordeaux France
Since the acquisition of Château Picard, Mähler-Besse, who has renovated the Napoleon III-style cellars, has endowed the property with an efficient wine-making tool, with entry of the harvest by gravity. Its exceptional terroir with a clayey tendency, characteristic of Saint-Estèphe, presents soils loaded with calcified remains of cockles and sea urchins. This vineyard with a high percentage of Cabernet Sauvignon produces finely smoked and spicy wines of very good class. SP59-2 -
Chateau Lanessan 2016 Haut-Médoc
$29.99Bordeaux France
James Suckling 93 Rating
Currant, lead pencil and fresh rose-petal aromas follow through to a full body, round and nicely chewy tannins and a long finish. Balanced and polished. R21-1 -
Domaine Servin 2020 Chablis Selection Massale Vieilles Vignes
$29.99Burgundy France
Vinous 90-92 Rating
Raised in 30% used oak barrels, the 2020 Chablis Vieilles Vignes “Massale” comes from 60-year-old vines within Les Pargues. It has a crisp nose, more backward than the Les Pargues, offering touches of lime mixed with vervain tea and flint. The palate is fresh and vibrant and shows good depth. Quite spicy, especially toward the finish, which harnesses the richness of the vintage. Very promising. -
Puygueraud 2015 Francs-Côtes de Bordeaux
$29.99Bordeaux France
James Suckling 94 Rating
This is so good! I want to drink it now. Iodine, mushrooms, dark fruit and orange peel on the nose and palate. Full-bodied, yet polished and fresh. Lovely tension. A blend of 80% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Malbec. SP59-2 -
Chateau Mauvesin Barton 2015 Moulis-en-Medoc
$29.99Bordeaux France
Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
The fifth vintage from this estate since its purchase by the Barton family of Léoville Barton in Saint-Julien, this is a generous, structured wine. It has ripe black fruits in profusion that are held together by the serious layer of tannins. Rich and concentrated, the wine will age for many years. Drink from 2024. (Editor's Choice) SP56-9 -

Domaine Des Deux Roches 2018 Vieilles Vignes Pouilly Fuisse
$29.99Maconnais France
Domain Deux Roches is a deep gold wine that has an intense brioche aroma with hints of stone fruits and flowers, and a restraint that hints at its minerality. It has a complex palate of green apples, with hints of citrus, creamy oak notes, and a mineral austerity that perseveres into an impressive finish.
