Cantina del Taburno 2015 Bue Apis Aglianico del Taburno
$119.99Campania Italy
The Bue Apis is produced exclusively from grapes Aglianico from a century-old vineyard located in the district “Pantanella” at about 1000 meters from the Taburno cellar. This testifies to the ancient vineyard presence of Aglianico the slopes of Mount Taburno. The vinification of grapes from it obtained, the so-called original clone Aglianico bitter, is one of the paths that the Cantina del Taburno has undertaken to highlight the extraordinary potential of this ancient grape variety. Cantina Terlano-Kellerei Terlan 2016 Porphyr Lagrein Riserva
$49.99Trentino-Alto Adige Italy
James Suckling 96 Rating
You rarely, if ever, see this level of complexity in a lagrein, which goes headlong through bracken, tea leaves, vanilla, blackberries, undergrowth, heather and violet extract. Full-bodied and very structured indeed, the chewy tannins envelop layers of compact yet exuberant dark fruit. Elements of undergrowth and spice linger on the long finish. Stunning. Delicious now, but better in 2022. R43-4 -

Cantine Povero 2022 Batu Barbaresco
Price range: $36.99 through $192.00Piedmont Italy
Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating Editors’ Choice Selection
This Barbaresco dances between delicacy and exuberance as if walking through a garden where raspberry bushes meet a wall of climbing roses. The perfume is almost intoxicating, with rose water floating in the air, yet it never loses its poise. Each sip brings a surge of bright, lip-smacking red fruits that wake up the palate, while fresh currants add a playful tartness. The abundant florals weave through it all like silk ribbons, creating an enchanting tension between power and grace. It’s a wine that speaks with youthful confidence but never forgets its noble roots. Drink Now – 2040.
