Altesino 2019 Brunello di Montalcino
$59.99 – $300.00Tuscany Italy
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Share Tweet
Pouring a rich ruby color, the 2019 Brunello Di Montalcino offers an attractive nose of cherry candies, sweet herbs, polished leather, and orange oils. It moves seamlessly to the palate with equally harmonious structure and a great, long finish. Medium to full-bodied, it lasts for ages. This is one of those wines that’s going to have a very wide drinking window and is exceptional already. Drink 2026-2046.

iL Poggione 2019 Brunello di Montalcino
$59.99 – $300.00Tuscany Italy
Vinous 96 Rating
The 2019 Brunello di Montalcino pulls the taster close to the glass with its dark and earthy blend of crushed ashen stones, giving way to rosemary, cedar, exotic spice and a core of raspberry preserves. Enveloping and serene, this flows across the palate like pure silk, steadily building in tension as tart wild berries and orange hints give way to a sweet herbal thrust. The 2019 finishes with tremendous length and is classically structured, as crunchy tannins resonate and violet inner florals slowly fade over a tactile coating of minerality. Il Poggione has captured the radiance of the vintage, yet this is just a baby today. regular $79.99

Bollinger Special Cuvee Brut Champagne
$59.99 – $300.00France
Decanter Magazine 95 Rating
If it’s good enough for James Bond, it’s good enough for you. Bollinger Champagne has made a number of cameos in James Bond films over the year. This non-vintage Special Cuvée is an example of a classic Champagne done well. Notes of marzipan on the nose and the palate give toastiness and leesy notes, specifically sourdough. It’s classic for a reason and would only elevate any table it finds itself on.

Krutz Family Cellars 2021 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard
$59.99 – $300.00Santa Lucia Highlands California
Enjoyabilityfactor 95+ Rating
The 2021 Soberanes Pinot Noir is typical of Pinot Noir from a premier vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Located next to Gary’s Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, the Soberanes Vineyard is a joint venture between the Pisoni and Franscioni Families. It is medium-full bodied wine with ripe cherry and red rose petals and a background of spice from the barrel aging. The balance between the boldness of the clone and the coyness of the varietal make for an enticing wine.

Chateau Larrivet Haut-Brion 2019 Red Blend Pessac-Leognan
$54.99 – $300.00Bordeaux France
Vinous 93 Rating
The 2019 Larrivet Haut-Brion is terrific. Dark, fleshy and resonant in the glass. Wild cherry, tobacco, incense, leather, smoke and game all take shape in this potent wine. Franc top notes lend quite a bit of aromatic presence, but then again, Cabernet Sauvignon and Franc make up most of the blend. Once again, Larrivet Haut-Brion is a classy, under the radar gem.

Les Tourelles De Longueville 2020 Bordeaux Blend
$59.99 – $300.00Pauillac Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
Looking at the 2020 Les Tourelles De Longueville from the team at Pichon-Longueville Baron, this beauty is based on 64% Merlot, 29% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Cabernet Franc aged in just 30% new French oak. Ripe red and black fruits, sappy tobacco, melted chocolate, and spicy notes all emerge from this medium-bodied, round, supple, undeniably delicious Pauillac. It has the vintage’s fresher, focused style, yet there’s plenty of charm here already. Drink bottles over the coming 15+ years.

Bledsoe Family Winery 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon
$54.99 – $300.00Walla Walla Valley
Former New England Patriots quarterback Drew Bledsoe returned to his eastern Washington roots after retiring, starting his family winery in 2008. So far, he has passed the test. This Cabernet Sauvignon is a nice blend of cherry and savory blackberries with some pleasant cherry stems at the finish. Good balance, good texture and quite satisfying.

The 2021 comes from a cooler Russian River site and offers a complex bouquet of red currants, smoked earth, ground pepper, and exotic floral and rose hip notes. Rich, medium-bodied, and seamless on the palate, it’s incredibly classy as well as perfectly balanced.

Roederer Estate 2019 L’Ermitage Brut
$59.99 – $300.00Anderson Valley Mendocino California
Wine Enthusiast 100 Rating
If sunshine could be bottled it would be this. Aromas of fresh succulent stone fruit, a hint of yeast, citrus blossoms and notes of quince on the nose. The mousse is creamy and light with baked red apples, blood orange zest, white grapefruit, sticky caramel and layered salinity with a mouthwatering finish. It will bring a smile to your lips. regular $79.99
