Jean-Marc Brocard 2022 Sainte Claire Chablis
$24.99 – $264.00Burgundy France
Decanter Magazine 93 Rating
Some of the vines here are over 70 years old. Even with a reticent, understated nose one can sense the energy and precision in this wine. There’s a lovely, creamy texture on the palate, with bright citrus notes and a long, lingering, savoury, mineral finish. A very fine example of Chablis which would compete very effectively against many a premier cru.

Bodega Norton 2015 Privada Red
$24.99 – $204.00Lujan de Cuyo Argentina
James Suckling 95 Rating
A very intense nose of blackberries, mulberries, violet extract, charcuterie, Indian spices and really flamboyant licorice. Full body, lots of juicy, grainy tannins, tangy acidity, tons of dark plum fruit and a long, chewy finish. With a little less wood and more polish, this would have scored even higher. A blend of malbec, merlot and cabernet sauvignon. Drink in 2022.

Coming mostly from the Russian River, with small parts from Sonoma Coast and Carneros, the 2017 Chardonnay was brought up 15% new oak for 15 months. It has classy, rich notes of white flowers, brioche, honeysuckle, and a touch of minerality. Rounded, supple, beautifully textured, and long, it's a smoking value. Drink through 2023.
