Louis Latour 2020 Pommard Epenots Premier Cru
$129.99Burgundy France
James Suckling 95 Rating
The stunning wild-blackberry nose pulls you into this medium-to full-bodied Pommard that’s brimming with fruit and has a stack of fine tannins. Lots of drive and minerality, but not a trace of the dryness that this appellation is famous for. Drink or hold. R15-1 -

Louis Latour 2020 Volnay 1er Cru En Chevret
$124.99Burgundy France
James Suckling 95 Rating
This is so sensual that it’s dangerous and it ought to be classified as a listed drug! So sweet, silky and delicate, in spite of the excellent structure behind it. Only medium-bodied, but in a particular way that increases its appeal. Then comes the very fresh finish that makes it positively refreshing. Drink or hold. R15-2 -

An instantly appealing Burgundian chardonnay that you don’t have to be an expert to enjoy. Effusive nose of quince with delicate notes of candied orange peel and butterscotch. Stacks of fruit in the middle of the medium-bodied palate, then a wonderfully bright, stony finish. The excellent balance suggests this will develop well for a few years.

Wine Spectator 93 Rating
A harmonious Champagne that shows impeccable balance, with depth and focus to its flavors of white cherry, Honeycrisp apple, tangerine peel and biscuit, while retaining vibrancy and grace. A chalky underpinning comes to the fore on the creamy finish, joining delicate spice and floral accents. Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Meunier.

Loveblock 2023 Sauvignon Blanc
Price range: $19.99 through $216.00Marlborough New Zealand
Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
Erica and Kim Crawford (yes, that one) aren’t afraid to be different. This SB ramps up flavor and texture via the use of oak barrels and concrete eggs. The result is a rounder, richer Savvy B than most in the Marlborough stable, with honeyed grapefruit, peach pit and fresh herbs, and a creamy mouthfeel, neatly balanced by peachy acidity, and etched ever-so-slightly in salty sea air. Food friendly and full of personality.

There is balance in this fruit-forward Malbec of smooth texture. The nose has subtle notes of chalk and thyme. Flavors of raspberries, plums, blackberries, thyme and spices flow through the palate, disappearing slowly in the aftertaste.

Lucie Dutron 2021 Macon Villages
Price range: $29.99 through $156.00Maconnais Burgundy France
Enjoyabiltyfactor 92 Rating
The Lucie Dutron Macon Villages is 100% Chardonnay from sustainably farmed vines located in Viré, Péronne, and Verzé. The vines are 20-45 years old and grow in limestone and clay soil. We were surprised by the wine’s richness and intensity. Pale gold with green flecks, the nose is joyfully expressive, white peach and citrus notes and white flowers jump from the glass. The palate is lush and has weight. Smooth, round, supple and complex with a surprisingly long finish. Flavors are fresh and lively mirroring the aromatics.
