Beaulieu Vineyard BV 2019 Georges de Latour Private Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
$149.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
Lastly, the Grand Vin 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Georges De Latour Private Reserve is just about pure perfection, and the fact that there are roughly 12,000 cases is incredible. Classis darker fruits (cassis, currants) as well as chocolate, leafy tobacco, and loamy earth all define the bouquet, and this full-bodied, concentrated, powerful, yet also elegant 2019 has the balance and structure to evolve for decades. It should be relatively easy to find this in the market, and you won't be disappointed. -

Bedrock 2018 The Bedrock Heritage
$49.99Sonoma Valley California
Wine Advocate 94 Rating
Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Bedrock Vineyard Heritage opens with fantastic perfume: ripe peach, sliced blueberries, warm red cherries, underbrush, violet and dried tangerine peel with nuances of crushed stone, dried hollyhock and exotic spices. Medium-bodied, it floods the mouth with singularly perfumed fruit layers, with a chewy frame and wicked freshness, finishing long and evolving. Wow! Just a pup, give this another year or two in bottle and drink it over the next 10-15 years. R5-2 -

Opaque ruby. Floral aromas of black raspberry and cherry pit, with complicating spicecake and mineral nuances. Round and fleshy on entry, then more energetic in the mid-palate, offering vibrant red and dark berry flavors with no rough edges. This seamless, sweet blend finishes with excellent vivacity and terrific length. R40-3 SP20-2 -

The 2015 Zinfandel Esola Vineyard comes from the heart of Amador. This is a big, briary, beefy, muscular wine with a full body, plenty of heady red and black fruits, tar, earth and pepper. It is a beauty and the fruit is where it’s at – as it is pure and rich, following through for at least 45+ seconds on the palate. Drink it over the next 5-7 years. R37-3 SP16-5 -

The 2019 Evangelho Heritage Wine is a total knock-out. The later than normal harvest yielded a wine with a bit more mid-palate juiciness than is typically the case. Dark red/purplish fruit, along with hints of cinnamon and new leather, develop with time in the glass. The Evangelho is a blend of the Zinfandel, Mataro and Carignan-based field blends, with the Mataro quite prominent today, and the Carignane less so. In a word: superb. R24-6
