  • Turley 2015 Zinfandel Duarte

    $59.99

    Contra Costa County California
This wine is an homage to Joe Duarte, a prominent grape grower in Contra Costa who first introduced Turley to the incredible vineyards of the area. The wine is comprised of fruit from the turn-of-the-century Evangehlo, Mori and Salvador vineyards, planted between 1890 and 1930. As a result of the sandy soils and impressive age of the vines, the wine has some of the softest, silkiest tannins we’ve ever seen in a Zinfandel. SP16-1

  • Aperture Cellars 2018 Red Blend

    $59.99

    Alexander Valley California
    Wine Advocate 96 Rating
The 2018 Red Blend is composed of 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 22% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The nose offers vibrant berry scents with accents of charcuterie, mint chocolate, cigar wrapper, violets and pencil shavings aromas, and the palate is powerful but featherweight, silky and fresh with a very long, layered finish. I love this balance of ripe fruit, mineral nuance, aromatic purity and structural power. This has the potential to grow into even more of a beauty with some time in bottle.

  • Epoch Estate Wines 2015 Estate Red

    $59.99

    Paso Robles California
    Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
What used to be the entry-level effort of the estate, the 2015 Estate Blend is year in, year out at an incredible quality level that it’s hard to think of the wine those terms. The 2015 is 52% Syrah, 26% Mourvèdre, 13% Grenache, and the rest Tempranillo and Zinfandel, all from the Paderewski and Catapult vineyards on the west side of Paso Robles. It offers a terrific bouquet of black plums, ground pepper, charred meats and charcoal. Full-bodied, smoky, meaty, and rich, it stays light and graceful on the palate, with sweet tannins. SP20-1

  • Chateau Fombrauge 2018 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru

    $59.99

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
A gorgeous wine that shines on all account, the 2018 Château Fombrauge sports a dense purple hue to go with loads of blackcurrant and black cherry fruits as well as tobacco leaf, damp earth, chocolate, and cedary herbs. With full-bodied richness, a deep, layered mid-palate, silky tannins, and outstanding length, this rock star Saint-Emilion can be enjoyed any time over the coming 20-25 years or more. It's hands down the finest vintage I've tasted from this estate. SP53-3

  • Robert Mondavi 2013 Oakville BDX Red

    $59.99

    Napa Valley California
A concentration of black cherry, vanilla and sweet spice form the backbone of this intensely dark-fruited, structured wine, with a subtle layer of earthy garrigue (fragrant dried brush of southern France) adding complexity to the full, creamy palate. Focused and harmonious, this is a powerful expression of Oakville in a Bordeaux blend. R29-2

  • Robert Mondavi 2014 Oakville Cabernet Sauvignon

    $59.99

    Napa Valley California
    James Suckling 92 Rating
Aromas of flower, tile and currant follow through to a full body that's nevertheless tight and reserved. Such beauty at the finish. A pretty wine. Hard not to drink now. SP21-2

  • Domaine Dubois Bernard & Fils 2015 Beaune 1er Cru Les Bressandes

    $59.99

    Burgundy France
Domaine Dubois Bernard is a tiny domaine of 7 hectares that is based in the village of Chorey-Les Beaune. The current owner and winemaker, Jacques Dubois, is the 5th generation of his family to make wine in this small village. Jacques continues his family’s tradition of making terroir-pure wines from their small parcels around Chorey and Savigny. The domaine farms their high altitude parcels with extreme care, focusing on small yields and sustainable practices. Once in the cellar, extraction is kept to an absolute minimum, only indigenous yeasts are used, and the wines are aged and fermented in barrel. The results speak for themselves, as the range of wines are terroir pure, mineral focused beauties with depth and immense clarity. SP2-5

Refined and well-structured, with concentrated dried cherry and raspberry flavors that feature notes of hot stone. Allspice accents linger on the fresh, minerally finish with hints of white pepper. R40-3

The 2019 comes from a cooler Russian River site and offers a complex bouquet of red currants, smoked earth, ground pepper, and exotic floral and rose hip notes. Rich, medium-bodied, and seamless on the palate, its incredibly classy as well as perfectly balanced.
