Gigino 80th Anniversary 2015 Grande (Black Label)
$39.99 – $222.00Tuscany Italy
Wine Enthusiast 90 Rating
Toasted coconut, cedar box and cherry-chocolate aromas on the nose give way to a palate lush with cherries, blackberries and strawberries, with a candied-red-apple sheen. Smooth, polished tannins and forgiving acid lead to a berries and cream finish. R29-4

Giodo 2019 Brunello di Montalcino
$159.99 – $840.00Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 99 Rating
Aromas of cedar, earth, tree bark, fruit tea, black tea and cherries. Then it turns to fresh and dried flowers. Medium to full body as it grows on the palate with superb fine tannins that run the length of the wine. It’s structured and powerful with great length. The acid, tannin balance is incredible. Very clear and transparent. What a wine. Drinkable but better in three or four years.

Girolamo Russo 2022 Etna Bianco San Lorenzo

Girolamo Russo San Lorenzo Etna Bianco 2022 is a distinguished white wine from the Etna DOC region in Sicily, Italy. This wine is crafted from a blend of 90% Carricante and 10% indigenous varieties such as Catarratto and Grecanico. In the glass, it presents a straw yellow color with light golden highlights.
The bouquet is fine and elegant, featuring typical citrus and floral notes, complemented by subtle spicy hints. On the palate, it is fresh and savory, with the acidity balancing the alcohol content, resulting in a persistent, long, and extremely mineral finish.

Grattamacco 2019 Bolgheri Superiore
$119.99Tuscany Italy
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Reserved layers and depth slowly begin to emerge from the 2019 Grattamacco, so it is going to need time in cellar to open and show itself. As it opens in the glass, it reveals attractive dark mineral earth, kirsch, black pepper spice, and balsamic. It is concentrated and compact at this stage, with savory richness, and it displays full and balanced structure, ripe and present tannins, and notes of cassis, cedar, and pine resin. It reveals rich complexity without ever feeling murky, and its energetic tension takes this wine to the next level. Drink 2025-2050. R23-7 SPBX-6 -
Guado al Tasso 2016 Bolgheri Superiore
$159.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 98 Rating
Beautiful center palate of fruit here with ripe and silky tannins that are resolved and fine-grained. Full-bodied, polished and ever so refined. Oyster shell, stone and hints of rosemary and lavender. Driven finish. Better after 2022. R39-1 -
Guado al Tasso 2019 Bolgheri Superiore
$139.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 98 Rating
This has a wild and perfumed nose of dried thyme, sage, blackberries, cocoa, graphite and white and green peppercorns. Then dried flowers. Full-bodied with firm, tight and precise tannins. Vibrant. There’s so much character and structure. A new benchmark for this winery. More cabernet franc than in the past. Best yet? 65% cabernet sauvignon, 25% cabernet franc and 10% merlot. Try from 2025. Guado al Tasso 2023 iL Bruciato
$29.99 – $276.00Tuscany Italy
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
The 2023 Il Bruciato boasts a dark purple hue and exudes baked aromas of plum, pie spice, balsamic, and rich earth. Full-bodied, the palate is generous and rounded, with supple ripe tannins providing a fleshy sensation through the finish. I would prefer to enjoy this while it retains some freshness over the near term. This vintage is a blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot, and the remainder Syrah and Petit Verdot.

I Greppi 2021 Greppicaia Bolgheri Superiore
$69.99 – $360.00Tuscany Italy
Decanter 94 Rating
The 2021 Greppicaia includes a hefty dose of Petit Verdot, which lends richness and spice to the mix. Bold aromas of fresh red berries and some dried cherry introduce an intense and concentrated palate where the wood is currently in the front seat and the tannins have an overt, powdery texture. Creamy and peppery, there is nevertheless some succulent fruit lurking in the background and with time will emerge – the potential is certainly there in its long, fresh character and poised posture. Owned by Irish geologist, Dr Neil McMahon and his family since 2017, I Greppi has benefitted from his scientific approach, which includes a joint long-term research project with University of California, UC Davis, who also helped with the development of an on-site ’eno lab’…” 09/24 R23-1
