Petite Fleur 2023 Cabernet Franc
Price range: $19.99 through $102.00Valle de Uco Argentina
Enjoyabilityfactor 93 Rating
Malolactic fermentation takes place in French oak barrels. The 70% of the wine is aged for 12 months in 2nd and 3rd use French oak barrels of 225 liters. It then rests in the bottle for 6 months. Deep in color with purple hues and very bright. Great varietal typicity and spices are appreciated. It is a wine with an expressive center of mouth. Great balance and complexity from the oak ageing. It is deep and elegant, so it persists in the mouth and has a long finish.

The nose opens clean and fresh, with blackberries, mulberries and wild mint, then turns denser and savory with aromas of tar and leather. The satiny palate remains balanced, between the sweetness of mixed berries and the savoriness of damp earth and crushed rocks.

Piero Benevelli 2016 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte
$59.99Piedmont Italy
Vinous 95 Rating
The 2016 Barolo Le Coste di Monforte is gorgeous. Dried herbs, crushed flowers, mint, licorice, cedar and sweet pipe tobacco give the 2016 striking aromatic nuance to match its mid-weight personality. There is a sense of translucence in the 2016 that is just compelling. Deceptive in its mid-weight structure, the 2016 has a ton of richness that emerges over time. The Le Coste spent 25 months in 40HL cask. I loved it. -
