Lush and lovely aromas of black cherry, cassis, cola and milk chocolate draw the nose into this blend from the Beaulieu Vineyard team. Blueberry and blackberry flavors are mixed with vanilla, caramel and chai on the somewhat formulaic yet still satisfying palate.

Taylor Fladgate 2018 Vintage Porto
$87.99Portugal
Wine Enthusiast 98 Rating
This is an exceptional vintage, most unusually the third declared in a row from this producer. Intensely perfumed and richly structured with dark black fruits and concentrated tannins, it is set for seriously long-term aging. The power of the wine, based around the producer's Quinta da Vargellas, is magnificent. Drink this major Port from 2029. SP-BX6 -
Taylor Fladgate 2019 Late Bottles Vintage Porto
Price range: $21.99 through $120.00Portugal
Deep ruby red with vivid purple highlights on the rim. The first impression is of intense woodland fruit with crisp brambly blackcurrant and blackberry aromas. The nose has a youthful freshness and vigour, the first burst of powerful, black berry fruit slowly revealing undertones of raspberry and cherry, scents of wild herbs and discreet warmer notes of liquorice and coffee. Although the aromas have a sensuous dimension, this elegant and polished LBV displays the characteristic Taylor definition and restraint..

This rich and complex version leads with details of lilac, toasted herbs, slate and pepper that yield a deeply concentrated core of cherry, brambly raspberry and cassis. Tenuta dell’Ornellaia 2020 Masseto Massetino
$349.99Tuscany Italy
Wine Advocate 95 Rating
The Masseto 2020 Massetino (Merlot with a touch of Cabernet Franc) is extremely generous and rich. This wine puts it all out there in full view with a bouquet that is stitched together with ripe blackberry and black cherry preserves, black stone or pencil shaving, sweet spice, cigar, smoke and tar. This was a warm and sunny vintage, and you feel the power of those sunbeams locked within the dark, opulent and concentrated fruit on display here. This is a special treat, and the 2020 edition offers a clear identity for Massetino. This vintage comes close to out-powering the bouquet of the 2019 Masseto also hitting the market now.
