This old vine 100% Chardonnay from Pouilly-Fuisse in Burgundy has an inviting nose of white-fleshed fruits and honey. The palate is lively on the attack with flavors of pear and white peach. The finish is pretty and harmonious.

Martin Ray Winery 2021 Diamond Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
$89.99 – $480.00Napa Valley California
James Suckling 97 Rating
This voluptuous, full-bodied and sleek wine is layered in luxurious blue and black fruits that saturate the palate while superfine tannins shape the middle and finish. Mint and floral notes accent the gorgeous fruits. A truly impressive mountain wine that punches way above its price range. Best after 2029.

Dominus Estate 2021 Red
$349.99 – $1,950.00Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
One of the legendary Dominus, the 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon is unquestionably in the same league as the 2018, 2016, 2015, 2013, 2010, and 1991, and to my mind, wine simply doesn’t get any better. Sporting a dense purple hue as well as an incredible perfume of blackcurrants, crushed stone, cedar pencil, smoke tobacco, and baking spices, it s rich, full-bodied, and voluptuously textured, with ripe yet building tannins. It reminds me slightly of the 2010 (maybe the 2013), and I suspect it will have a similar evolution. Hide bottles for 7-8 years, and it will evolve gracefully for 30+ years. Hats off to the team of Christian Moueix and director Tod Mostero. SP-BX6

Cristom 2022 Eileen Vineyard Pinot Noir
$79.99 – $420.00Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley Oregon
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
A deeper and layered profile emerges in the 2022 Pinot Noir Eileen Vineyard, which comes from windswept site where the grapes get thick skins from the wind. It has a more woodsy profile, with savory saline, brothy feel, tea leaf, toasted spice, and black cherries. Drink it over the coming 15-20 years.

Cristom 2022 Marjorie Vineyard Pinot Noir
$79.99 – $420.00Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley Oregon
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
The 2022 Pinot Noir Marjorie Vineyard comes from the only pre-existing vines the family acquired when they purchased the winery in 1992. A deeper magenta color, it’s perfumed with seductive notes of violets, black raspberries, sweet herbs, and forest earth. The palate offers plenty of purity, and it has a fantastic, savory finish, with ripe tannins and even acidity. It’s drinking well now, with a wide window for enjoying over the coming 15 or so years.

Duckhorn Vineyards 2019 Howell Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon
$114.99 – $582.00Napa Valley California
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
A dark, winey version, featuring heavy steeped black currant and black cherry notes that are still tightly coiled up, with graphite, tar and sweet tobacco notes. Reveals a buried sleek iron accent, which lends length and focus through the structured yet racy finish. A textbook Howell Mountain Cabernet. Drink now through 2035.
