Flashy, with boysenberry and mulberry pâte de fruit notes that roll through, throwing off licorice snap and açaí berry notes as well. Ends with a high-gloss toasty finish. SPBX-6 R46-5

  • Caymus Suisun 2021 Grand Durif

    $31.99$360.00

    Suisun Valley North Coast California
Separated from Napa by just an invisible county line, Suisun Valley (which became an AVA in 1982) is still largely undiscovered. With its warm days and cool nights, this pastoral region reminds us of Napa Valley in the 1960s. Known for delicious stone fruits and walnuts, it is also gaining recognition for exceptional wine. Durif is synonymous with Petite Sirah, the widely grown grape in the region – Caymus-Suisun added “Grand” to the name for its grand style. With harmonious tannins, this wine is opulent, luxuriously soft and totally enjoyable.

  • Caymus Vineyards 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $39.99$210.00

    California
I feel this wine expresses the greatness of California and its hidden pockets where Cabernet can excel. The cold Pacific Ocean running the entire length of the state presents maritime influences – and with each small distance eastward the climate warms. Stony soils, south facing slopes and moderately warm conditions are the keys to producing dark, rich and good tasting Cabernet.

  • Caymus-Suisun 2023 The Walking Fool Suisun Valley

    $29.99$150.00

    California
The Caymus Suisun 'The Walking Fool' offers another version of the Wagner Family's signature bold, spicy, and fruit-driven reds. Dry farmed in Napa's neighboring Suisun AVA, the Zinfandel and Petite Sirah bring a distinct sense of place to the glass, while the thoughtful cask aging imparts toasty warmth and a velvet-soft mouthfeel to the ripe tannins of this stunningly crimson and inky California classic.

  • Cayuse 2016 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard

    $129.99

    Walla Walla Valley
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The 2016 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard checks in as 96% Syrah and 4% Viognier that was fermented with roughly 70-80% stems and brought up in 15% new demi-muids and foudre. This beauty has incredible elegance and purity as well as full-bodied richness, complex notes of blackberry, cherries, stone hearth, decayed flowers, and salted meats, and a savory style that’s going to benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and keep for 15 years or more. SP19-1

  • Cayuse 2017 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard

    $139.99

    Walla Walla Valley
    Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
The only Syrah that includes some Viognier, the 2017 Syrah Cailloux Vineyard (this is the same site used for the Viognier) is always a great representation of the vintage as well as the wines of Christophe Baron. Ruby/purple-hued, with a rocking bouquet of black raspberries, smoked game, black pepper, and spring flowers, it has plenty of classic Rocks funkiness and meaty notes, medium to full body, a core of sweet fruit, and a great, great finish. It ranks with the top two to three wines in this vintage. It opens up nicely with time in the glass and shows well today, and it’s certainly going to cruise for 15+ years or more. R27-2

  • Cayuse 2019 Syrah En Chamberlin Vineyard

    Walla Walla Valley
    Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
Gorgeous Bing cherry and blueberry fruits as well as tobacco, peppery herbs, iron, and mushroom notes all emerge from the 2019 Syrah En Chamberlin Vineyard, another medium to full-bodied, incredibly seamless, flawlessly balanced Syrah in the lineup. I love the overall mix of savory, classic Rocks style with its beautiful core of fruit, and it has incredible tannins, beautiful balance, and a great, great finish. Flirting with perfection, this straight-up incredible Syrah will evolve nicely for 25 years or more. Best After 2022. SP19-2

Attractive red berry aromas lead to a smooth and richly fruited Chateauneuf that has such silky, suave, building tannins that carry round, attractive red-berry and plum flavors. This is super balanced and very drinkable already. Drink or hold.
