Dark and winey, this structured offering packs red and black currant paste flavors together with threads of charcoal, warm stone, bay leaf and savory, ending with a long tug of cast iron through the finish. Chateau De Sales 2020 Pomerol
$44.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
I loved the 2020 Chateau De Sales from barrel, and it’s showing beautifully from bottle. Sporting a deep purple hue as well as a ripe, sexy, medium to full-bodied style, it has ripe, supple tannins, a layered, balanced mouthfeel, and classic aromatics of ripe black cherries, plums, licorice, spring flowers, and damp earth. It’s another beautiful, layered, elegant Pomerol in the vintage that will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age. Best After 2026. SPBX-12 -

Chateau des Jacques 2021 Moulin-A-Vent
Price range: $27.99 through $150.00Beaujolais France
James Suckling 90 Rating
This has so much immediate red berry charm plus a touch of sour cherry. A bit on the light and crisp side for this appellation, but there are some nice restrained tannins supporting the fruit and harmonizing the stony acidity. Very well crafted..

Chateau Du Courlat 2016 Lussac St. Emilion
$24.99Bordeaux France
Wine Advocate 93 Rating
The 2016 Du Courlat has a rich, slightly jammy bouquet with redcurrant and cranberry fruit. The palate is well balanced with juicy tannins, rich but nicely controlled with a very poised and tensile finish. Now this is a lovely Lussac Saint Emilion in the making. One to watch out for. SP59-5 -

Chateau Ducluzeau 2016 Red Blend Listrac
Price range: $29.99 through $156.00Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 90 Rating
From the team at Ducru-Beaucaillou, the 2016 Château Ducluzeau is possibly one of the finest Listracs produced in any vintage. This beauty offers a medium ruby color to go with a terrific perfume of sweet cherry and dark fruits that are supported by loads of leafy herbs, damp earth, and even hints of graphite. Shockingly deep, medium-bodied, and beautifully concentrated, with ripe tannins, it shines for its purity and nuance but offers serious intensity as well. It’s a fabulous wine to drink over the coming 10-15 years.
