Corazon Del Sol 2024 Malbec Los Chacayes Uco Valley

    Price range: $24.99 through $132.00

    Argentina
Bodega Corazon del Sol is dedicated to site driven, small-production wines. This high-elevation Malbec tells the story of one of Mendoza’s rockiest sub-zones, Los Chacayes IG. Led by the winemaking pioneer of single vineyard Malbec, Santiago Achaval, and protege Cristian Moor. Planted with 100-year-old ‘massalle selection’ cuttings of Malbec, the vines are sustainably farmed, hand-harvested, individually berry-sorted, then fermented in small batches.

  • Cordero di Montezemolo 2021 Barolo Monfalletto

Cordero di Montezemolo 2021 Barolo Monfalletto

    Price range: $59.99 through $300.00

    Piedmont Italy
    Vinous 93 Rating
The 2021 Barolo Monfalletto is gorgeous. Deep, pliant and expressive, the 2021 has a lot to offer. I would give this a few years in the cellar, as it is quite concentrated and deep. Black cherry, leather, spice, incense and licorice build nicely, leading to a rich, sumptuous finish. The Monfalletto is a beautiful, highly pleasing Barolo. All it needs is a bit of time to shed some of its considerable baby fat.

  • Corley 2009 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

    Corley 2009 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon

    $79.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has rich, flashy flavors of spice and crème de cassis, and it will reward some time in the cellar. The tannins are strong, but the wine is drinkable now after decanting and especially when paired with steak. It will soften and mellow in 7–8 years, and it should last at least 15 years while gradually losing fruit. SP27-6 R41-2

  • Cornell Vineyards 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

    Cornell Vineyards 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

    Price range: $139.99 through $720.00

    Sonoma California
    Vinous 97 Rating
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon is super-elegant and refined, but also somewhat closed following its bottling, which is not uncommon for mountain wines. That period of stubbornness seems to be part of the evolution here, as the wine tends to only blossom after a few years. Today, the 2019 is marked by its brilliant upper register, striking balance and vibrancy. It is another compelling wine from Cornell.

Heady scents of chopped herbs, woodland berry, forest floor, new leather, dark spice and violet are just some of the aromas you’ll find on this fragrant wine. It’s savory and loaded with finesse, delivering juicy Marasca cherry, raspberry compote, licorice, orange zest and pipe tobacco alongside firm yet polished tannins and fresh acidity. A tangy mineral note graces the lingering finish. It’s still young and needs plenty of time to fully unwind and develop. Drink 2027-2042. SP46-2

Cristom 2017 Pinot Noir Jessie Vineyard

    $69.99

    Eola-Amity Hills Willamette Valley
    James Suckling 97 Rating
A very distinctive nose with a wild array of red berries and cherries and a thread of blue fruit, too. There’s a dried wild-rose perfume and a violet-like thread with subtle, herbal-based notes. It’s a moving target in the glass with incredible complexity. This has a gift of revelation. The palate has a very assertive edge with a powerful core of intense tannins that carry a spicy thread of rich dark cherries and dark plums in a defined, savory and athletic stance. A star of the vintage. Drink over the next decade or more. R25-2

This dramatically steep site delivers a wine of real personality and distinctiveness. The nose has a very layered mix of red cherries and berries with some plums, leaves, dry stones, forest wood and a wealth of sweetly fragrant spices. The palate holds such intensity and concentrated flavor with striking focus and drive. Mouthwateringly fresh red-cherry flavors are delivered in essence-like mode and hold long, on a super vibrant, explosive finish. The star of 2018 at Cristom and indeed for Willamette Valley pinot per se. Drink or hold. R27-3
