  • Chateau D’Issan 2020 Margaux

    $89.99

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
The 2020 Chateau D’Issan is a stunningly good Margaux, and this is another estate that seems to producer brilliant wines every vintage. Pulling from 51.04 hectares of vines and a blend of 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc, the rest Petit Verdot and Malbec, it’s a selection of just 45% of the total production and spent 18 months in 50% new and 50% once-used French oak. Beautiful, spiced-laced red and black fruits, chocolate, smoked tobacco, and incense notes define the aromatics. These carry to a medium to full-bodied restrained, elegant 2020 with terrific mid-palate density, ripe, velvety tannins, and terrific overall balance. This is one of those beautiful, classic wines that grows on you with time in the glass, and hats off to Emmanuel Cruse for yet another incredible wine. It’s going to evolve for another 25-30 years if well-stored. Best After 2026 SPBX-6

  • Chateau De Sales 2020 Pomerol

    $44.99

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
I loved the 2020 Chateau De Sales from barrel, and it’s showing beautifully from bottle. Sporting a deep purple hue as well as a ripe, sexy, medium to full-bodied style, it has ripe, supple tannins, a layered, balanced mouthfeel, and classic aromatics of ripe black cherries, plums, licorice, spring flowers, and damp earth. It’s another beautiful, layered, elegant Pomerol in the vintage that will benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age. Best After 2026. SPBX-12

All Merlot, the 2020 Chateau Lafleur-Gazin is a charming, layered Pomerol that has already accessible aromatics of red and black fruits, cedarwood, tobacco leaf, and camphor. Nicely textured and medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has terrific balance and will evolve for 15-20 years without any issues. Best After 2023. SPBX-12

  • Kathryn Hall 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $189.99

    Napa Valley California
    Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Kathryn Hall is a blend of 95% Cabernet Sauvignon and 5% Merlot, brought up mostly in new barrels. It’s a killer bottle of wine offering lots of ripe black fruits intermixed with savory herbs, melted chocolate, and tobacco. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it shows the lush, round, velvety style of the 2019 vintage and is already impossible to resist. It’s going to evolve for 15+ years if well stored. R33-2

  • Far Mountain 2020 Fission Cabernet Sauvignon

    $64.99

    Moon Mountain District Sonoma
    Enjoyabilityfactor 94 Rating
The wine is dark, fresh and young. Enters with density and freshness together with a long mid palate. Earthy notes are present together with spices and dry herbs combined with the black fruit. Graphite gives way to bright, red fruit on a textural palate marked by mountain minerality. Balance and bright flavors, tannins are present yet in a subtle and soft way. Its defined structure along with fine-grained tannins that are present, yet soft, result in a complex finish that will allow the wine to age gracefully.

  • Chateau de Pez 2019 Red Blend

    $49.99

    Saint-Estèphe Bordeaux
    Wine Advocate 94 Rating
This year’s blend is 56% Cabernet Sauvignon, 42% Merlot, 1% Cabernet Franc and 1% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2019 de Pez comes tumbling out of the glass with an astonishingly beautiful perfume of lilacs, black cherries and black raspberries over a core of stewed plums, clove oil, dark chocolate and Sichuan pepper. The medium-bodied palate is jam-packed with energetic black fruits, supported by a firm foundation of ripe, grainy tannins and lovely freshness, finishing long and perfumed. I love where this once-malingering château is headed—bravo to winemaker Nicolas Glumineau from Pichon Lalande! R14-3

  • Aubert 2021 Pinot Noir CIX

    $199.99

    Sonoma Coast California
    Antonio Galloni 98 Rating
The 2021 Pinot Noir CIX Vineyard is fabulous. Rich, deep and explosive, the 2021 possesses striking inner perfume and brilliant fruit. Sweet red cherry, plum, spice and pomegranate build into the heady, sumptuous finish. Goldridge soils over volcanic ash are magical here. What a wine. Drink 2024-2033. R27-5

  • Bedrock 2018 Bedrock Vineyard Heritage

    $49.99

    Sonoma Valley California
    Wine Advocate 94 Rating
Medium ruby-purple, the 2018 Bedrock Vineyard Heritage opens with fantastic perfume: ripe peach, sliced blueberries, warm red cherries, underbrush, violet and dried tangerine peel with nuances of crushed stone, dried hollyhock and exotic spices. Medium-bodied, it floods the mouth with singularly perfumed fruit layers, with a chewy frame and wicked freshness, finishing long and evolving. Wow! Just a pup, give this another year or two in bottle and drink it over the next 10-15 years. SP20-9
