The 2013 York Creek Petite Sirah is almost black in color with elegant aromas and flavors of juicy wild berries, plums, and hints of licorice, incense, and forest floor. It is richly textured and full-bodied on the palate with powerful fruit flavors that are balanced by firm, ripe tannins leading to a long-lasting finish. Build to last, expect this wine to age nicely for another 7 – 10 years. This wine is definitely age-worthy and will benefit from decanting in the short term.
