This bold Spanish red wine is produced by Castillo Perelada. Made from an exuberant blend of Syrah and Monastrell (a.k.a Mourvèdre), the grapes of Perelada Finca Espolla come from young, about 15 year old vines planted in slate soils and located on the spurs of the Pyrénées – in a charming place called Les Alberes. Harvested by hand, this red wine from L'Empordà was fermented and macerated in tanks. After that, it was aged for 18 months in new French oak barrels. Finally, this Crianza red wine from L'Empordà was aged for a further months in its elegant Bordeaux bottle prior to its commercial release. Decant Perelada Finca Espolla 2016 30 minutes before drinking.
