The Grapes were handpicked and optically sorted over multiple picking days. After a 5-day cold soak, and 22 day fermentation with extended skin contact the wine was moved into 100% French oak, 65% new oak exclusivity from Seguin Moreau Cooperage.
The 2019 The Dude is a stunning expression of the Napa Valley growing region. The 2019 is a blend of multiple growing locations, including hillside, Howell Mountain, Calistoga, Carneros and Pritchard Hill. Starting off bright and opulent with dark fruit notes of dark cherry and blueberry compote and hints of baking spice, cedar, violet and crushed stone. This wine is rich with beautiful structure, balance and sweet polished tannins.
