Just as there are sweet spots in wine, there are sweet spots in pricing. Increasingly The Prisoner is producing red wines that are between “good” and “outstanding” at very reasonable prices. This blend is very fruity, perhaps even fruit-forward, but is has beautiful flavors of cherry and blackberry with a nice smoothness and dusty tannins in the finish – a guilty pleasure? 91 Roger Morris
