Torrin 2013 Tsundere
$89.99Paso Robles
Wine Advocate 95 Rating
Another blockbuster, the 2013 Tsundere shows the more pretty style of the vintage, but certainly doesn't pull any punches with its graphite, black fruits, scorched earth and charred meat aromas and flavors. A blend of 30% Syrah, 30% Grenache, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon and 20% Tannat aged in 70% new barrels, it has a full-bodied, pedal to the metal character on the palate as well as ripe tannin and a big mid-palate. Drink this hedonistic 2013 anytime over the coming decade or more. SP15-1 -
Epoch Estate Wines 2017 Authenticity Red
$89.99Paso Robles California
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
One of the deeper hued wines in the lineup, the 2017 Authenticity checks in as 92% Syrah, 6% Mourvèdre, and the rest Viognier. Classic Paso Robles notes of blueberries, melted licorice, ground pepper, cured meats, and bacon fat all flow to a deep, full-bodied, opulent wine with terrific purity, a rounded, sexy texture, and a seriously good finish. Hess 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt Veeder
$89.99Napa Valley California
The 2019 estate-grown Cabernet provides an exemplary expression of the sophistication, complexity, and structure that we’ve come to expect from their mountain fruit. The Cabernet Sauvignon produces aromas of ripe, wild, mountain raspberry, along with gentle notes of vanilla caramel. The subtle touch of Malbec adds a soft, mouth-filling texture on the palate. Enticing flavors of dark plum, licorice, cocoa and vanilla oak spice unite to create a supple wine that lingers for a pleasing finish. SP31-1 -
Nickel & Nickel 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon John C. Sullenger Vineyard
$89.99Oakville Napa Valley
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
This has a lovely, caressing flow to its cassis, dark plum and blackberry puree flavors, while well-integrated toast runs along the edges, with a mix of sweet bay leaf and anise. There's a subtle loamy hint at the end, while the purity of the fruit wins out easily. Drink now through 2033. SP30-4 -

Vividly “Graves-like” in both its flavor profile and elegant style, this is the best Scribe Cabernet yet produced. The nose is a focused perfume of ripe black cherry, Italian Maraschino cherry, black currant, blueberry, grilled black fig, cedar, leather, graphite, charcoal, mocha, peppercorn and dark pipe tobacco scents. The wine is amazingly seductive already, as the texture is racy yet tongue-coating, and the flavors of diamond clarity. A core of syrup drenched Amarena cherries holds center-stage on the palate, with all the other promised elements seeming to follow in lock-step. The finish is ultra-long and the expected gripping tannins are polished into softness and then smothered by a wave of flavor. This beauty will be glorious if allowed the five to ten years its concentration suggests, yet it is so delicious now that few bottles are likely to remain when it achieves full maturity. Only 650 cases produced. SP25-1
