Quilt 2017 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon
$89.99Napa Valley California
Enjoyabilityfactor 93 Rating
Deep garnet in color. Baking spice aromas of cinnamon and clove are intertwined with dark stone fruits, blackberry pie, vanilla, white pepper and notes of oak and rose. A full-bodied palate presents layers of dark black cherry, coffee, blackberry, dark currant and notes of milky chocolate. Beautifully rounded with an unctuous velvety mouth-feel. This refined wine is a sensational expression of what a Napa Valley Cabernet represents with a long, smooth finish and fine, grained tannins. R26-1 -
Gerard Raphet 2019 Morey Saint Denis
$89.99Burgundy France
The wines of Gérard Raphet are a Burgundy lover’s Burgundy. While the wine’s color in the glass is a delicate ruby, aromas and flavors surprise with their forceful intensity. This contrast often catches the uninitiated off guard, yet it is part of the attraction and seduction of these limited and highly sought-after wines. SP3-3 -
Domaine Pierre Labet 2017 Beaune Clos du dessus des Marconnets Rouge
$89.99Burgundy France
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Leafy underbrush, sandalwood and incense aromas and flavors augment the cherry and plum fruit in this rich, robust red. A finely-meshed matrix of tannins lays the groundwork, while the finish is long and complex, echoing spice and woodsy elements. Best from 2023 through 2038. SP3-5 -

This Gevrey-Chambertin 2019 from Domaine Lucien Boillot is intense ruby with still purplish reflections. The nose is pleasant, combining black fruits with a well-melted woodiness. The palate is rich, structured, powerful with relatively fine tannins. Ripe red fruits stand out. SP3-1 -

Chateau La Tour Blanche 2001 Sauternes
$89.99Bordeaux France
Wine Advocate 96 Rating
The La Tour Blanche 2001 has long been the “insiders’ Sauternes” for the vintage. Leave the Yquem ’01 for the millionaires: load up on one of the finest recent vintages from the estate. It has a potent honeyed, frangipane and white flower-scented bouquet with subtle nougat scents in the background lending it an exotic edge. The palate is extremely well balanced with fine acidity effortlessly slicing a swathe through that unctuous, honeyed fruit. There are also understated marmalade notes with a suggestion of crème brûlée furnishing the weighty finish that goes on and on. Just don’t tell anyone how good this La Tour Blanche is…promise? Domaine du Pegau 2020 Chateauneuf du Pape
$89.99Southern Rhone Valley France
Vinous 96 Rating
The 2020 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Réservée is one of the strongest vintages for this wine in recent history. It is magnificent, soaring from the glass with pungent aromas of crème de cassis, ripe raspberry and strawberry, cured meat, tobacco, licorice, iodine and garrigue. Full-bodied, vibrant to the core and offering a multidimensional profile, this wine is really, really good. The Féraud family and the entire team deserve a round of applause for this sublime Cuvée Réservée, which will still be kicking ass 20 years from now. R45-1 SP37-17 -
Hourglass 2019 Blue Line Estate Merlot
$89.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
The 2019 Blueline Merlot checks in as 82% Merlot, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, and the rest Malbec and Cabernet Franc. Aged 18 months in French oak, it's a ripe, sexy, beautifully textured Merlot revealing plenty of red and blue fruits as well as notes of tobacco and sappy flowers. It's ripe but also balanced, and it’s already drinking brilliantly. SP17-2 -
Wayfarer 2017 Pinot Noir Wayfarer Vineyard
$89.99Sonoma Coast California
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The largest production cuvée based on a mix of clones, the 2017 Pinot Noir Wayfarer Vineyard was mostly destemmed and spent 15 months in 50-60% new French oak. It reveals a bright ruby-tinged color and offers a feminine style in its notes of raspberries, flowers, rose hips, and spice. It’s fine, incredibly elegant, has fine tannins, and just glides over the palate. SP7-6
