  • Aia Vecchia Sor Ugo 2016 Bordeaux Red Blend

    $49.99

    Tuscany Italy
    Wine Advocate 93 Rating
The 2016 Bolgheri Superiore Sor Ugo offers thickly extracted aromas of blackberry preserves and cherry confit with smoke, tar and sweet spice. This is a full-bodied red (with 15% alcohol) that wraps thickly over the palate, showing rich density and concentration along the way. Campfire ash and hickory smoke appear on the close. The blend is 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 35% Merlot, 15% Cabernet Franc and 5% Petit Verdot aged in barrique for 18 months. SP44-1

  • Alban Vineyards 2019 Syrah Lorraine Alban Estate Vineyard

    $199.99

    Edna Valley California
    Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
The 2019 Syrah Lorraine is ultra-classic and is about as textbook an example of this cuvĂ©e as I can recall. Black raspberries, cassis, spring flowers, and baking spices all flow to a full-bodied, round, velvety textured, utterly seamless Syrah with ripe tannins, a great mid-palate, and a gorgeous finish that keeps you coming back to the glass. It’s impossible to resist today (and I see no need to delay gratification), yet it will continue to deliver the goods any time over the coming 20-25 years. SP15-6

  • Alban Vineyards 2019 Syrah Reva Alban Estate

    $109.99

    Edna Valley California
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Moving to the Syrahs, the 2019 Syrah Reva reveals a much cooler climate-like style in its blackberry, graphite, pepper, and bouquet garni-like nuances, and it picks up an almost Cornas-like game and white pepper character with time in the glass. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, it has a pure, layered, elegant mouthfeel, ripe yet polished tannins, and a great finish. It reminds me slightly of the 2018, although with slightly less concentration. It will evolve for 20-25 years. SP14-5

  • Alban Vineyards 2021 Syrah Patrina Alban Estate

    $55.99

    Edna Valley California
    Wine Spectator 94 Rating
Plump and polished, with sleekly layered black raspberry flavors that are accented by dark chocolate, savory meat and cracked pepper tones that sail on the long and savory finish. Drink now through 2033. SP17-1

  • Albert Bichot 2023 Chablis 1er Cru Les Beugnons

    $74.99

    Burgundy France
    Enjoyabilityfactor 95 Rating
“Les Beugnons” is a Premier Cru located on the left bank of the Serein River. The wines from this Climat may also bear the name “Vaillons” which is the name of the flag-bearing Climat they fall under. We have chosen to retain the original name due to the unique typicity of our plot. The very white soil and the extremely favorable exposure of our plot, in an area that is protected by the presence of numerous trees, yield mineral wines with ripe, rich aromas and flavors. “Les Beugnons” remains one of the rarities of Chablis. • Albert Bichot 2023 Chablis Les Clos

    $174.99

    Burgundy France
    Enjoyabilityfactor 98 Rating
Quietly powerful, with subtle fruit flavors, a full body (for Chablis) and layers of fruit, minerals and toast that build on the palate and linger in the finish. Grown on a south-facing slope in clay-based but stony soil. 30% was barrel-fermented, and it shows an opulent, rich expression underlain by a minerally, saline character. Drinkable now but will develop much more complexity with time. From organically grown grapes. Best from 2029. Decanter Magazine 95 Rating. BX-6

  • Albert Bichot 2023 Mersault

    $153.99

    Burgundy France
    Enjoyabilityfactor 95 Rating
Delicate nose with scents of flowers and fruit, such as hawthorn and peach, underpinned by toasted notes. This rich, silky wine is structured and well balanced. It boasts remarkable length on the palate with a hint of sucrosity and lovely minerality. Taste this wine with finely prepared fish and seafood, or with roasted or stewed white meats and poultry. BX-6

The bouquet reveals delicate notes of white flowers and citrus fruit with a touch of honey. Round and generous on the palate, it is balanced by a lovely freshness that gives it great elegance. BX-6
