Merryvale 2021 Cabernet Sauvignon Napa Valley
$69.99 – $330.00California
Decanter Magazine 94 Rating
The 2021 Merryvale Cabernet Sauvignon is sourced from their 10-hectare Profile Estate Vineyard in Conn Valley and the Oak Knoll District. The grapes undergo fermentation on skins for up to 21 days before being drained into a barrel and aged for 16 months in 50% new French oak. This elegant and compact wine has gorgeous savory notes of tobacco and wild sage woven through layers of black cherry, blackberry, and spiced plum. Medium- to full-bodied, it is exceptionally pure and precise, with polished, superfine tannins that lay a firm and compact foundation. Beautifully balanced, this Cabernet is easy to enjoy thanks to the integrity and refinement of its tannin structure, complemented by sumptuous and succulent dark fruit and spices. Its Old-World character is imbued with the ripe, dark-fruited, and fragrant profile of sun-ripened California grapes—a stunning example of craftsmanship and terroir.

The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Domaine Camille et Laurent Schaller 2023 Chablis Vieilles Vignes
$29.99 – $324.00Burgundy France
This cuvée is aged for 10 months, 30% of the wine resting in oak barrels and 70% in stainless steel tanks. This approach differs from the classic Chablis style, which usually matures entirely on steel. The partial ageing in wood gives the wine a fuller structure and subtle woody notes, without losing the lively freshness and minerality so typical of the Chablis terroir. The result is an elegant and gourmet wine, in which the minerality, the expression of the fruit and the gentle influence of the wood are beautifully balanced.

Kumeu River 2023 Coddington Chardonnay
$59.99 – $324.00Auckland New Zealand
Wine Advocate 94 Rating
The 2023 Coddington Chardonnay is sleek and polished. The fruit is on the kiwi fruit, almond meal and white peach end of the spectrum, and the fruit is lean. Tightly coiled acidity is gently embossed into the fruit; it is neatly packaged and very tight. The wine builds as it opens, and while the first sip was difficult to get a reading on, the ensuing interactions are juicier and more saliva-inducing. The restraint is attractive, and the back-palate weighting of flavor similarly makes for charming drinking. 12.6% alcohol, sealed under screw cap.
