Château de Chamirey 2020 Mercurey Clos du Roi Premier Cru
$69.99 – $342.00Burgundy France
Wine Enthusiast 91 Rating
Aromas of plums, violets and high tones of cranberry fill the nose, creating a sophisticated bouquet. The palate is round and ripe, with juicy blackberry, black cherry skin, cardamom and clove. Delicate tannins coat the mouth and intensify the wine’s dark-fruited profile. This wine should pair well with quail in plum sauce. SP6-12

The 2017 Cinq Cépages is jam-packed with inky-dark fruit, crème de cassis, chocolate, cloves and licorice. Dense and full-throttle, the Cinq packs a serious punch. The Cinq is undoubtedly racy, but not as opulent as it can be. This is a fine showing for the Cinq. R4-2

Drappier Brut Rose Champagne
$64.99 – $342.00Champagne France
Wine Advocate 91 Rating
The NV Brut Rose is very, very pretty. This is a fresh, energetic wine that impresses for its length and persistence. The wiry finish suggests the wine will drink well for a number of years, perhaps more if the fruit fleshes out.

The 2018 Brunello di Montalcino shows a pretty, mid-weight appearance with shiny dark ruby highlights. The wine offers soft fruit with cherry and wild forest berry at the front. On a second wave, it delivers light spice, earthy mineral and cured tobacco. Both the fruity and the savory sides of the wine are well balanced over solid tannic support and balanced freshness.
