Brotte de Pere & Fils 2021 Chateauneuf-du-Pape Blanc Les Hauts de Barville
$34.99 – $336.00Southern Rhone Valley France
Jeb Dunnuck 91 Rating
The 2021 Châteauneuf Du Pape Hauts De Barville Blanc offers a riper, medium-bodied, nicely textured character that still stays in the fresher style of the vintage. White peach, honeyed flowers, and spice define the aromatics, and it’s nicely balanced, with a clean, crisp finish. It’s clearly an outstanding white that will keep for 2-4 years. Best after 2022

Adaptation 2021 Petite Sirah
$69.99 – $330.00Napa Valley California
The 2021 Petite Sirah exhibits the varietal’s classic deep, dark, purple hue, leading with aromas of blackberry liqueur and luscious damson plum dusted with hints of vanilla bean and baking spice from toasted French oak barrels. Suede tannins coat the palate while fresh acidity carries a whisper of shaved graphite and flavors of blueberry and cacao through a long, luxurious finish.

Domaine Louis Latour 2018 Aloxe-Corton
$59.99 – $330.00Burgundy France
Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
Rounded notes of ripe, dark cherry on the nose of this wine spell generosity and juiciness. The palate delivers but frames the fruit with freshness and a web of tannins that leave a pleasantly brushing sensation, expressing the well-managed richness and generosity. BX-12

Billecart-Salmon Brut Reserve Champagne
$59.99 – $330.00France
Antonio Galloni 91 Rating
The NV Brut Reserve is a tasty, non-vintage Champagne. Orchard fruit, lime, white flowers and white pepper. Silky, creamy and exceptionally polished, the Brut Reserve is a total charmer. All the elements are so well balanced. This release is based on 2019. Dosage is 6.10 grams per liter. Disgorged: 4th quarter 2022.” 11/23

Borgogno 2020 Barolo Piedmont Italy
$59.99 – $330.00Italy
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
A deeper ruby/red color, the 2020 Barolo comes from the same vineyards as the No Name as well as Annunziata and offers more depth and ripeness, with aromas of black raspberries, candied cherries, preserved flowers, sweet herbs, and mossy earth. It has outstanding ripeness and purity and is long on the palate, with all its components coming together, delivering warmth, structure, and freshness. This is pretty serious wine, one of the best blended wines I’ve tasted in this vintage, and it’s going to be hard to beat. Buy it now. R21-5

Bouchard Pere & Fils 2018 Beaune Clos de la Mousse Premier Cru Monopole
$59.99 – $330.00Burgundy France
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
This is elegant, succulent and packed with cherry and black currant fruit, wrapped in spice and toasty oak accents. It hints at floral and mineral elements too, as the long aftertaste winds down on the finish. It’s solidly built and complex. Best from 2023 through 2036. R30-5 SPBX-12

James Suckling 92 Rating
A spectacular white, spicy, balanced and harmonious, with aromas of baked lemons, anise, honeysuckle, warm herbs and a touch of blanched almonds. It’s medium- to full-bodied with precise definition on the palate. Lively and vibrant with a caressing texture at the edges. The center-palate is vibrating with tension. Long finish. Drink or hold.

Herman Story Wines 2020 Casual Encounters
$69.99 – $330.00Paso Robles California
Inkier colored, the Casual encounters is a blend of 58% Mourvèdre, 34% Syrah, and 8% Grenache. Lots of mulled black fruits, smoked meat, barbecue, and peppery notes emerge from the glass. It’s full-bodied, super-rich, and concentrated, yet still stays light on its feet and beautifully balanced. It’s a classic, sweetly fruited, sexy wine to enjoy over the coming 5-7 years or so. R2-2

Herman Story Wines 2020 First Time Caller
$59.99 – $330.00Paso Robles California
Antonio Galloni 94 Rating
Inky black-purple in the glass, the wine is totally opaque, thickly coating the glass. All about massive opulence and pleasure-giving fruit, this bodacious 15.9% ABV Petite Sirah is dark as night in the glass. Layered and substantially more complex than it initially seems, there is real structural definition underneath the hedonism. A line of energy and a framework of fine tannins supports the array of blackberry, black cherry, coffee, dark chocolate, black pepper and smoke notes. Pair with spicy ribs or grilled ribeye, by itself or even a cigar. A seriously cool wine of great impact! R3-2 SP16-6
