Krutz Family Cellars 2021 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard
$59.99 – $300.00Santa Lucia Highlands California
Enjoyabilityfactor 95+ Rating
The 2021 Soberanes Pinot Noir is typical of Pinot Noir from a premier vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands. Located next to Gary’s Vineyard in the Santa Lucia Highlands, the Soberanes Vineyard is a joint venture between the Pisoni and Franscioni Families. It is medium-full bodied wine with ripe cherry and red rose petals and a background of spice from the barrel aging. The balance between the boldness of the clone and the coyness of the varietal make for an enticing wine.

Krutz Family Cellars 2020 Chardonnay Soberanes Vineyard
$54.99 – $288.00Santa Lucia Highlands California
Enjoyabilityfactor 93 Rating
Our Soberanes Vineyard Chardonnay is a blend between two famous Chardonnay clones: the new world Old Wente and the old world Montrachet. Aged on the fine lees (sur lie), there is a richness and complexity in texture that balances the present and refreshing acidity. The 2020 vintage highlights the citrus zest and the chalky minerality one would expect from the Santa Lucia Highlands and particularly the Soberanes Vineyard. The lemon zest acidity is backed by a subtle French oak presence and a refreshing finish.

Ornellaia 2021 Bolgheri Superiore
$249.99Tuscany Italy
Wine Spectator 98 Rating
An intense red, defined by lively acidity and framed by dense, ripe tannins that showcase its black currant, blackberry, violet and toasty oak aromas and flavors. Iron and wild herb accents emerge as this plays out on the finish. Though expressive at this stage, this youthful version will benefit from time in bottle. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Best from 2027 through 2046. SP42-3 -

Wine Advocate 100 Rating
The 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Poetry is a blend of 89% Cabernet Sauvignon, 3% Merlot, 4% Cabernet Franc and 4% Petit Verdot. Deep garnet-purple colored, it sails out of the glass with energetic scents of fresh blackcurrants, black cherries and black raspberries, plus hints of candied violets, dark chocolate, clove oil and fragrant earth. Medium to full-bodied, the palate is exquisitely fine-knitted with tons of graceful nuances intertwined with the many shades of black fruits, accented by SO MANY minerals, finishing epically long and staggeringly gorgeous. Faiveley 2020 Mazis-Chambertin Grand Cru
$249.99Burgundy France
TimAtkin.com 97 Rating
Exotic, dark and turbo-charged, this wine is wound up with sweet black plums and blackberries, anise and forest floor. It’s definitely a wine for those that like bolder, chunkier Pinots, whether you drink it soon or wait a few decades. Speaking of which, Jérôme feels strongly that it is best to wait ten years before trying this wine. For the less patient, I implore you to wait at least six or seven years! 2026-42. SP4-1 -
