  • Davis Estates 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Phase V

    $199.99

    Napa Valley Caifornia
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
This includes fruit from the Davis Estates vineyard, Beckstoffer Georges III and Palisades vineyards. A blend of 86% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Cabernet Franc, 5% Merlot and 4% Petite Sirah aged for 28 months in 85% new French oak, the 2015 Cabernet Sauvignon Phase V from winemaker Philippe Melka is very deep purple-black in color and features fragrant crème de cassis, preserved plums and baked cherries with touches of baking spices, garrigue, tapenade and tobacco plus a hint of pepper. The palate is medium to full-bodied with loads of elegantly played black fruit and spicy notions, framed by chewy tannins and finishing long. 464 cases produced, to be released in April 2019. SP21-1

  • La Jota Vineyard 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain

    $139.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Advocate 97 Rating
A blend of 77% Cabernet Sauvignon, 8% Cabernet Franc, 7% Malbec, 5% Merlot and 3% Petit Verdot, the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is deep garnet-purple colored and features gregarious crème de cassis, black cherry preserves and baked plums with touches of Indian spices, cigar box and charcuterie. Full, firm and decadently fruited, it has a fantastic foundation and very long, layered and expressive finish. Moderately high tannins but beautiful sweetness and fruit. Drink it over the next 25-30 years. SP27-4

  • Corley Reserve 2009 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $79.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
This 100% Cabernet Sauvignon has rich, flashy flavors of spice and crème de cassis, and it will reward some time in the cellar. The tannins are strong, but the wine is drinkable now after decanting and especially when paired with steak. It will soften and mellow in 7–8 years, and it should last at least 15 years while gradually losing fruit. SP27-6 R41-2

  • Barnett Vineyards 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $99.99

    Spring Mountain District Napa Valley
The 2017 Spring Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the darkest we’ve made. Big black raspberry jumps from the glass as well as blueberry jam and black pepper. There is a bright chocolate element surrounded by cedar notes. The mouthfeel is rich and lush with a lot more dark fruit as well as cigar box and mocha. The tannins are significant, very big, and chalky. While the mountain acidity is firm it is the tannins that dominate. There is a long black raspberry and mocha finish to the wine. This sizeable Cabernet will age amazingly over the next 14-15 years (2033-2034). SP26-5 SP29-4

  • Corley Reserve 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $99.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Enthusiast 93 Rating
This is a deeply extracted, rich and robust wine. It is bursting with black cherry and blackberry aromas, with hints of cocoa and coffee. On the palate the wine has an immediate presence, as the attack and mid-palate are robust. The dark berry aromas follow through with consistency onto the palate. The tannins are big, but round and well-resolved and quickly round out what is a long, lingering finish. This wine will age gracefully for 20+ years. R43-1 SP22-2

  • Vineyard 29 Estate Cabernet Sauvignon 2013 Aida Vineyard

On the valley floor, with an almost Châteauneuf du Pape layer of small stones, is the Aida Estate, one of my favorite vineyards just north of St. Helena. The 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon Aida Estate is a blend of 92% Cabernet Sauvignon, 5% Petit Verdot and 3% Cabernet Franc aged 20 months in three-fourths new French oak. The good news is that there are 800 cases of this magnificent wine, with a somewhat Graves-like scorched-earth, charcoal, burning ember-scented nose, with notes of hot earth, blackberry and cassis fruit. Big, full-bodied, exuberant and rich, this thick, unctuously textured, purple wine should drink beautifully for 25-30 or more years.

  • Janzen 2016 Beckstoffer To-Kalon Cabernet Sauvignon

    $249.99

    Oakville Napa Valley California
    Wine Advocate 99 Rating
A barrel sample, the very deep purple-black colored 2016 Janzen Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon is a little closed at this nascent juncture, offering glimpses of warm blackberry and spice cake notions with hints of incense, garrigue and hoisin. Full-bodied, rich and seductive, it has a lovely velvety texture and is packed with expressive fruit just waiting to unfurl, finishing long and multilayered. SP26-1

  • Schrader 2019 RBS Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon

    $399.99

    Oakville Napa Valley California
    Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
Lots of violets, flowery incense, cassis, and spice notes emerge from the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon Beckstoffer To Kalon Vineyard RBS, a full-bodied, silky, elegant 2019 that shines just as much for its purity and balance as its richness and depth. Possessing good acidity, a lively, vibrant mouthfeel, supple tannins, and a great finish, it has plenty of up-front appeal yet should easily evolve for a solid 20 years if properly stored. Best After 2021. SPCAB1-5
