Booker Vineyard 2016 Fulldraw
$89.99Paso Robles California
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, the 2016 Fulldraw comes from the Fulldraw Vineyard which is located right behind the estate Booker Vineyard. It's another elegant, silky wine that offers terrific crème de cassis, crushed violets, licorice and chalky mineral-like aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, silky and pure, with fine tannin and good (maybe not great length), it has stunning purity and is going to drink nicely right out of the gate. SP20-2 -
Booker Vineyard 2018 Fracture
$99.99Paso Robles California
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Another magical wine, the 2018 Fracture is based on 100% Syrah brought up in new and used French oak. Deep purple-hued, with beautiful notes of crème de cassis, blackberries, vanilla bean, toasted spices, white flowers, and a hints of charcuterie, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, perfectly integrated oak, a rounded, lush mouthfeel, and a great finish. This unabashedly Paso Robles Syrah brings loads of fruit yet stays balanced, elegant, and is simply a thrill to drink. SP16-5 -
Borgogno 2020 Barolo Piedmont Italy
$59.99Italy
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
A deeper ruby/red color, the 2020 Barolo comes from the same vineyards as the No Name as well as Annunziata and offers more depth and ripeness, with aromas of black raspberries, candied cherries, preserved flowers, sweet herbs, and mossy earth. It has outstanding ripeness and purity and is long on the palate, with all its components coming together, delivering warmth, structure, and freshness. This is pretty serious wine, one of the best blended wines I’ve tasted in this vintage, and it’s going to be hard to beat. Buy it now. R8-3 -

Bouchard Pere & Fils 2018 Chambolle-Musigny
$74.99Cote de Nuits Burgundy France
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Silky and exuding violet, blackberry and black currant, this red is about as alluring as a young Burgundy gets. It firms up on the finish with refined, cocoa powder tannins. Vibrant and long too. Drink now through 2028. SP4-12 -

Bouchard Pere & Fils 2022 Beaune 1er Cru Les Grèves Vigne de l’Enfant Jesus
$174.99Cote de Beaune Burgundy France
James Suckling 96 Rating
Often consumers expect a great Burgundy to be a dramatic and showy wine. This is an ideal example of how Burgundian greatness often expresses itself more gently. The harmony of red-fruit character with superfine tannins, plus excellent concentration and really silky tannins on the medium-bodied palate marks this out as a truly exceptional wine for the appellation. Delicious though it is now, try to give it some time in the glass to reveal its delicately spicy mystery. From a 3.9 hectare parcel in the middle of the slope of the 1er Cru Greves, where there’s never any hydric stress. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. SP2-6 -
Brand Winery 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
$249.99Napa Valley California
Wine Advocate 96+ Rating
Camphor, cedar, cassis and blackberries all appear on the nose of the 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon, a massively concentrated yet vibrant offering. It’s full-bodied and intense, velvety and rich, but it shows ample energy and thrust on the finish. If there’s a complaint, it’s that it’s too monolithic, but I’d chalk that up to its youth at this stage and expect it to gain complexity as it ages for two decades or more. R37-3 -
Brewer-Clifton 2018 Chardonnay 3D
$79.99Santa Rita Hills California
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
My favorite of the Chardonnay releases is the 2018 Chardonnay 3D, and this beauty has everything you could want from a Sta. Rita Hills release. Medium gold-hued, with a stunning nose of stone fruits, white currants, crushed stone, toasted bread, and a hints of green almonds, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture, flawless balance, and a great, great finish. It's one of the finest Chardonnays in this report. SPA3-2
