  • Booker Vineyard 2016 Fulldraw

    $89.99

    Paso Robles California
    Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Made from Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre, the 2016 Fulldraw comes from the Fulldraw Vineyard which is located right behind the estate Booker Vineyard. It's another elegant, silky wine that offers terrific crème de cassis, crushed violets, licorice and chalky mineral-like aromas and flavors. Full-bodied, silky and pure, with fine tannin and good (maybe not great length), it has stunning purity and is going to drink nicely right out of the gate. R43-1 SP20-2

  • Booker Vineyard 2018 Fracture

    $99.99

    Paso Robles California
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Another magical wine, the 2018 Fracture is based on 100% Syrah brought up in new and used French oak. Deep purple-hued, with beautiful notes of crème de cassis, blackberries, vanilla bean, toasted spices, white flowers, and a hints of charcuterie, this beauty hits the palate with full-bodied richness, perfectly integrated oak, a rounded, lush mouthfeel, and a great finish. This unabashedly Paso Robles Syrah brings loads of fruit yet stays balanced, elegant, and is simply a thrill to drink. SP16-5

  • Bouchard Pere & Fils 2014 Les Suchots Vosne-Romanee Premier Cru

    $129.99

    Burgundy France
    Burghound 93 Rating
Here too the wood treatment is reasonably subtle and easily allows the ultra-spicy aromas of cassis, plum and Asian-style tea to be appreciated. The suave, mouth coating and wonderfully seductive medium weight flavors possess exceptionally good richness while delivering excellent depth and length on the impeccably well-balanced finish.

  • Bouchard Pere & Fils 2018 Chambolle-Musigny

    $74.99

    Cote de Nuits Burgundy France
    Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Silky and exuding violet, blackberry and black currant, this red is about as alluring as a young Burgundy gets. It firms up on the finish with refined, cocoa powder tannins. Vibrant and long too. Drink now through 2028. SP4-12

Bouchard owns over two hectares of this climat, and the 2019 Beaune 1er Cru Les Teurons was the first parcel of Pinot Noir harvested in this vintage. Mingling aromas of sweet berries and cassis with hints of peonies, raw cocoa and loamy soil, it’s medium-bodied, velvety and enveloping, with bright acids and a nicely defined finish. This is another of the portfolio’s sleepers.

  • Bouchard Pere & Fils 2020 Meursault Les Clous

    $79.99

    Grand Vin De Bourgogne Burgundy
    James Suckling 94 Rating
Intensely nutty aroma from the get go, but with aeration candied-lemon notes develop. Just a hint of vanilla from oak. The serious structure gives it a compact core, with plenty of citrusy fruit wrapped around this. Very impressive length and stony drive at the finish for a village wine. So vibrant you have to go back for more. From a 8.64 hectare, high-altitude plot in Meursault. From organically grown grapes. Drink or hold. R34-2

  • Branaire-Ducru 2019 St-Julien

    $69.99

    Bordeaux France
    Wine Advocate 95 Rating
The 2019 Branaire-Ducru unwinds in the glass with aromas of raspberries, blackcurrants, sweet soil tones and hints of cigar wrapper, rose petals and cedar. Medium to full-bodied, deep and layered, it's youthfully tightly wound, with terrific concentration, tangy acids, powdery tannins and a long, saline finish. While this is a little reserved out of the gates, its energy and classical proportions will richly reward bottle age. SPBX-6

  • Brandlin 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon Mt Veeder

    $59.99

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Spectator 93 Rating
This has the expressive fruit and racy spine of the vintage, mixing plum and blackberry paste flavors with a graphite edge, while extra sassafras and bramble notes add energy to the finish. Solid. Best from 2022 through 2032. Tasted twice, with consistent notes. SP26-4 regular $79.99

  • Brewer Clifton 2019 Pinot Noir

    $36.99

    Santa Rita Hills California
    Wine Enthusiast 94 Rating
For a slightly reduced price, this appellation blend allows fans of this brand to check into the magic that Greg Brewer is up to. The floral nose is redolent of violet and scarlet roses as well as pomegranate and red currant. The palate zings with acidity, presenting bright and fresh flavors of raspberry, citrus rind and herb.
