Willm 2016 Pinot Gris Reserve$13.99–$143.88
Wine Enthusiast 89 Rating
There is a touch of yellow mirabelle plum on the nose. The palate comes in with a more tart note of pith and zest. The slender body unites full fruit and lively freshness in a compact package, boosted by a little residual sweetness that nonetheless lets the wine finish dry.

Honeysuckle, peach cobbler and Key lime pie notes are aromatic, lush and expressive, set on a crisp, sleek frame, with plenty of juiciness and refreshment, finishing with a dash of grapefruit zest.

Wolf Family Vineyards 2014 Phaedrus Cabernet Sauvignon$49.99–$269.94
Napa Valley California
This 2014 100% Cabernet Sauvignon is a blend of fruit from the more recently planted estate vineyard on White Hall Lane in St. Helena and the Montgomery Vineyard in Calistoga. Although it was aged for 20 months in 67% new French oak barrels, there is only a bit of oak spice, yet no woody aromas evident on the nose, which also indicates the wine has great balance with restrained, not forward, red fruit aromas. The quality of the excellent 2014 vintage also lends a nice vibrancy to the fuller-bodied palate where dark plum and blackberry flavors co-mingle with notes of dried tobacco. The balance promised from the nose delivers in spades with an excellent ratio of fruit to tannin and a wonderfully smooth texture. It shows great finesse at such a young age and is incredibly approachable and delicious right out of the bottle.

XAVIER MONNOT 2015 Beaune Les Cent-Vignes$74.99–$419.94
Wine Spectator 93 Rating
The rich, dense texture is well-plied by black cherry, blackberry and violet flavors. A solid layer of tannins delivers grip, with the saturated fruit in lockstep. Terrific finish. Best from 2021 through 2033. 680 cases made. WBC

XAVIER MONNOT 2015 Meursault Les Chevalières$69.99–$335.94

This offers a linear frame, keeping a tight leash on the lime blossom, peach, melon and apple flavors. Shows a lovely creamy texture and a mineral vein that weaves throughout. Terrific length. Drink now through 2025. 1,500 cases made. WBC

Xavier Vins 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape Cuvee Anonyme$44.99
Southern Rhone Valley
Wine Advocate 96 Rating
Except for Henri Bonneau’s 2007 Reserve des Celestins (which is still in barrel), the last 2007 Chateauneuf du Pape to be released will be Xavier Vignon’s Anonyme. This sensational wine spent three years in a combination of demi-muids and small oak. It boasts an inky/purple color along with a sweet nose of underbrush, garrigue, licorice, blackberries and black currants. Full, thick, unctuously textured and even flamboyant, this stunning 2007 should drink well for another 15-20 years.
Y. Rousseau 2013 Le Roi Soleil Mt Veeder Cabernet Sauvignon$99.99
Napa Valley California
Enjoyabilityfactor 95 Rating
This is the serious side to Napa Cabernet. All Mt Veeder fruit. This is a Great example of what Mt Veeder has to offer to Napa Cab Lovers without being a fruit-bomb. It has a layered, rich, full-bodied mouthfeel that is balanced with refined, roasted French oak. It’s a sleeper and a keeper. R1-5
