The 2022 Reserve Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the best Paso Robles Cabernets available. Crafted from the same quality fruit as our flagship ISOSCELES blend, and made of 100% cabernet sauvignon grapes, this wine is a Cabernet lover’s dream. This wine is bold and complex with ripe black fruit, sweet spice, and that classic Cabernet mix of savory and herbal characteristics. Its structural texture keeps this wine balanced and fresh from its beginning through its very long, complex finish. It’s delicious on release, but don’t hesitate to let it age for a few years — or even a decade — to see how it evolves. That is, if you can wait. regular $49.99

K Vintners 2018 King Coal Stoneridge Vineyard
$89.99Columbia Valley Washington State
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon / Syrah King Coal Stoneridge Vineyard is another beautifully layered, complex wine from the team at K Vintners, based on 75% Cabernet Sauvignon and 25% Syrah. It offers lots of classic Cabernet tobacco, cedary herbs, and graphite notes, with the Syrah offering a more plush, sexy, seamless style to the wine. Loaded with red and black fruits, toasted spice, and chocolate, full-bodied, concentrated, yet seamless and incredibly pure, this gorgeously layered blend has enough tannins to warrant short-term cellaring yet is going to evolve gracefully for 15-20 years in cold cellars. It's a gorgeous wine. R45-3 SP22-2 -

While just bottled a week before this tasting, the 2019 Syrah Powerline Vineyard certainly wasn't showing any worse for it, offering a stunning bouquet of ripe red and black fruits as well as white pepper, sandalwood, tobacco, and new leather. Pure, medium to full-bodied, and vibrant, with supple, polished tannins, this brilliant Syrah is going to keep for 10-12 years, if not longer.

K Vintners 2019 Syrah Rockgarden Vineyard
$44.99 – $240.00Walla Walla Valley Washington State
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Iron, black olives, peppery herbs, and both red and black fruits all emerge from the 2019 Syrah Rockgarden Vineyard, a balanced, deep, medium to full-bodied beauty with fine tannins and just about flawless balance. Coming all from the Rockgarden Vineyard in the Rocks region of the Walla Walla Valley and 100% Syrah that was not destemmed and was brought up in 40% new barrel, it's drinking brilliantly today and will cruise in cold cellars for a decade. Best After 2022.

K Vintners 2023 Art Den Hoed Viognier
$19.99 – $108.00Yakima Valley Washington State
Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
With a kiss of reduction in its white peach, honeyed flowers, and subtle tangerine notes, the 2023 Viognier Art Den Hoed hits the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, a round, lush mouthfeel, and a clean, light, graceful, incredibly drinkable style. It’s a beautiful, incredibly classy Viognier that I’d happily put side by side with anything from the Northern Rhône. Drink bottles over the coming couple of years.

Kaiken Estate 2019 Cabernet Sauvignon
$14.99 – $156.00Mendoza Argentina
The Kaiken Estate Cabernet Sauvignon displays deep, ruby-red color. The nose exhibits a great array of fuity notes, among which fresh red berries stand out, intertwined with aromas of eucalyptus and menthol. In the mouth, a genuine expression of the typical flavors of a Cabernet Sauvignon is perceived, combined with unusual and extraordinary softness. These unique features result from the distinctive terroir of Agrelo, where the grapes grow.

Karl Josef 2019 Piesporter Michelsberg Spätlese Riesling
$14.99 – $156.00Mosel Germany
If you’re unfamiliar with Rieslings, or wine with umlauts tend to scare you off, here’s your chance to jump aboard the Mosel Valley express. The region is the home base of German wine production, much of it Riesling, with a terroir encompassing steep slopes, slate stone soils, sun-filled days, and the winding river itself. Growers like Karl Josef are scattered throughout the valley working in growers' cooperatives famous for producing incredible wines at incredibly competitive prices. This Spätlese (late harvest style Riesling) is one such bottle and is a zippy little thing — sweet with citrus and florals but balanced with a tart panache.
