Francois Cazin 2024 Le Petit Chambord Cheverny Blanc
Price range: $19.99 through $204.00Loire Valley France
The 2024 Cheverny Blanc from François Cazin is made from grapes that are organically farmed and hand-harvested. The 2024 version is crafted from its customary blend of eighty percent sauvignon blanc and twenty percent chardonnay, with the two grapes fermented together and aged in stainless steel and older oak foudres. The wine comes in at twelve percent octane and delivers a vibrant and lovely bouquet of gooseberry, fresh lime, green apple, chalky soil tones, fresh-cut grass and a top note of orange peel. On the palate the wine is deep, bright and full-bodied, with a succulent core of fruit, beautiful soil signature and grip, zesty acids and seamless balance on the long, complex and very precise finish. This may well be the best Cheverny Blanc I have ever tasted!.

Frederic Magnien 2019 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes
$94.99Cote de Nuits Cote d'Or Burgundy France
Burghound.com 91 Rating
There is enough reduction present to blur the underlying fruit. More interesting are the sleek, intense and delicious middle weight flavors that exude a subtle minerality onto the lingering and moderately refined finale. This is a quality Chambolle villages and worth checking out. SP3-1 -

Opaque, dark ruby in color, this wine expresses dark fruit aromas and flavors of blackberry, black currant, and dark cherry. There are nuances of dark chocolate, chocolate berry truffle dusted with cocoa powder, aromatic cedar, cinnamon, clove, and a hint of tobacco. James Suckling 92 Rating
Bright aromas, ripe flavors, a full body but rather light tannins give this wine an easy drinkability. Red cherries and sunny strawberries on the nose, then a palate of good acidity with fresh red currants and light baking spices. Blended in are 8% cabernet franc, 2% petit verdot and 1% merlot.
