Wine Enthusiast 91 Rating
The nose of this Chard is loaded with floral aromas, swirling with chalky minerality, pithy lemon, and pineapple. The palate is driven by lively acid, with flavors of fresh pear, tropical citrus, white flowers, and ginger that ebb and flow through the finale. There’s great value here.

Brewer Clifton 2023 Chardonnay Santa Rita Hills
Price range: $29.99 through $150.00California
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Aged nine months in 100% neutral oak barrels, the 2023 Chardonnay Sta. Rita Hills offers crushed citrus, oyster shell, white flowers, and a kiss of salty minerality. It’s medium-bodied, has remarkable purity, vibrant acidity, and a great finish. As I’ve written many times, this appellation release can stand toe to toe with any Chardonnay from Santa Barbara County.

Brewer-Clifton 2018 Chardonnay 3D
$79.99Santa Rita Hills California
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
My favorite of the Chardonnay releases is the 2018 Chardonnay 3D, and this beauty has everything you could want from a Sta. Rita Hills release. Medium gold-hued, with a stunning nose of stone fruits, white currants, crushed stone, toasted bread, and a hints of green almonds, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, a seamless, elegant texture, flawless balance, and a great, great finish. It's one of the finest Chardonnays in this report. SPA3-2 -

Brewer-Clifton 2023 Pinot Noir
Price range: $34.99 through $180.00Santa Rita Hills California
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
As with all the Pinot Noirs from this talented winemaker, the 2023 Pinot Noir Sta. Rita Hills was not destemmed and was aged all in 100% neutral oak barrels. Medium ruby-hued, darker berries and redcurrants intermixed with rose, damp forest floor, and subtle spicy, meaty nuances all emerge from the glass. It’s remarkably pure and medium-bodied, with a pure, seamless, layered mouthfeel and ultra-fine tannins. This is classic Greg Brewer brilliance with Pinot Noir. Drink bottles any time over the coming decade. Drink 2025-2035.

This bottling by Adam LaZarre covers a lot of Paso Cab expectations. Rich aromas of berry and plum are laced in cedar and sandalwood on the layered nose. The palate is dense yet fresh with berry and spice flavors that are framed by chalky tannins.

Undeniable aromas of chocolate plum grab our attention before we dive into this fleshy and concentrated red. Divine notes of violets, summer-ripe boysenberry, and vanilla cake fill the mouth. Elegant and expressive, with velvet tannins and a tickle of white peppered cedar.

Buoncristiani 2017 O.P.C. Red Blend
$69.99Napa Valley California
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
The 2017 Red Blend O.P.C. checks in as a blend of 25% Cabernet Sauvignon, 38% Syrah, 20% Malbec, 12% Merlot, and 5% Petit Verdot brought up in 60% new French oak. It has a complex, nuanced style in its mulled plums, black tea, peppery herbs, and orange blossom aroma and flavors. Medium to full-bodied, rich and beautifully textured on the palate, with ripe, mouthcoating tannins, it's another terrific 2017 from this team that will evolve for a solid 10-15 years, that is, if you can keep your hands off bottles.
