Château Saint Pierre 2020 Saint-Julien
$79.99Bordeaux
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
The 2020 Château Saint-Pierre (Saint-Julien) looks to be beautiful, with a fresher, focused, yet still powerful style that fits nicely into the vintage. Lots of black and blue fruits, crushed stone, and graphite define the nose, and it’s full-bodied, with a great mid-palate, ripe yet building tannins, and a great finish. It’s going to need time to integrate its oak, but the purity of fruit, quality of the tannins, and balance are all spot on. SPBX-6 -

Chateau Senejac 2022 Haut-Medoc
Price range: $29.99 through $312.00Bordeaux France
Vibrant, scented and delineated, showing expressive blue fruit, hibiscus, cassis, minerals and spices. The medium- to full-bodied palate is evenly packed with fresh and fine tannins. Graceful, velvety yet al dente. Spot-on balance with a lengthy but tightly wound finish. Already attractive but wait three years if you want a more complete Bordeaux. This has the potential to develop for at least another eight to ten years.

Chateau Smith Haut Lafitte 2018 Pessac Leognan
$169.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
The 2018 Château Smith Haut Lafitte is based on 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 34% Merlot, and the balance Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot, all of which was brought up in 60% new French oak. Its dense purple color is followed by an incredible perfume of blackcurrants, blueberries, camphor, scorched earth, chocolate, and tobacco. It's young and unevolved, yet the purity is off the charts, and it slowly gives up more spice and floral notes with time in the glass. Hitting the palate with full-bodied richness, it's an incredibly concentrated, powerful wine that has plenty of baby fat covering serious amounts of underlying structure and tannins. It has some up-front appeal from an educational standpoint, yet really needs a decade of bottle age and is going to keep for 30-40 years in cold cellars. It comes closest in my mind to a mix of the 2010 and 2016. SP57-12 -

Chateau Suduiraut 2019 Sauternes 375 ml

While the wine is not ultrarich in texture, it is beautifully balanced between zesty citrus and plenty of serious botrytis and honey flavors. Showing a delicious orange marmalade character, it is ready for aging. SPCAB1-6 -

Chateau Talbot 2019 Saint-Julien
$119.99Bordeaux France
Wine Spectator 95 Rating
Well-built and rather refined for the vintage, with a deep well of red and black currant paste and plum reduction flavors supported by a deeply inlaid iron note, all of which run the length of the wine. Offers subtle savory, tobacco and singed cedar notes that add range, with a savory echo that leaves a mouthwatering feel in the end. Built to cellar. Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot and Petit Verdot. Best from 2025. SP56-12 -

Chateau Tour De Segur 2020 Bordeaux Blend Lussac Saint-Emilion
Price range: $21.99 through $216.00Bordeaux France
Intense, cherry red color. The nose is pleasant with notes of ripe red fruit, hints of spice and vanilla. Very pleasant balance between structure and volume. Fruit aromas blend elegantly with woody notes. Good ageing; it can be left to age longer to appreciate its qualities. Pair with mushroom toast, oven roasted duck or even for pork knuckle with lentils.

Chateau Tour St-Christophe 2018 St-Emilion Grand Cru
$49.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Emerging from a beautiful, terraced vineyard on the eastern side of Saint-Emilion, the 2018 Château Tour Saint Christophe is based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that was brought up in 40% new French oak. Its vivid purple color is followed by a great nose of blackcurrants, blueberries, tobacco leaf, chocolate, violets, and chocolate. Hitting the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, it has this wonderful sense of purity and elegance, a touch of chalky minerality, flawless balance, and a great finish. This beautiful, elegant, seamless Saint-Emilion needs 4-5 years of bottle age but will evolve for 20-25 years. You won't regret having this in the cellar. 95+. SP54-8 R7-2 -
