A beautiful, brilliant garnet-red color. The nose is very pretty with woody and fruity notes. On the palate are grilled and fruity, very ripe cherry aromas. The tannins are present without being too intrusive or aggressive. An elegant wine, fine and pedigreed. Serve with with grapes, duck breast with mushrooms, roast turkey, and any games dish. SP1-2

The wine has an inky dark color and pronounced aromas of blackberry, fig, smoke and spice. The texture is lush, yet there are firm tannins and the wine never seems overbearing or aggressive – everything is kept in elegant balance. Faiveley is the proprietor of three parcels that total 1.27ha in the Clos de Vougeot, including a portion in Grand Maupertuis and two parcels nearer the bottom. The fruit was picked very ripe (14.5%) and partially destemmed before fermentation, with a very careful extraction and ageing in cask (half new). SPBX-6

Exotic, dark and turbo-charged, this wine is wound up with sweet black plums and blackberries, anise and forest floor. It’s definitely a wine for those that like bolder, chunkier Pinots, whether you drink it soon or wait a few decades. Speaking of which, Jérôme feels strongly that it is best to wait ten years before trying this wine. For the less patient, I implore you to wait at least six or seven years! 2026-42. SP4-1

All Grenache that was vinified in tank and brought up in tronconique wooded tank, the 2019 Gigondas Clos Des Tourelles is up there with the top vintages of this cuvée and is well worth seeking out. Roughly 60% destemmed, it has a core of black raspberry fruit as well as lots of ground pepper, spice, violets, and floral notes in its full-bodied, ultra-fine, pure, seamless style. It’s a heavenly Gigondas that will evolve for 15-20 years if stored correctly. R29-2

Delicate and subtle, the nose opens with a very Chablis minerality. Aeration reinforces this limestone impression which melts into notes of pome fruit delicately marked by a hint of fresh almond. The mouth leaves itIt has a richer, more intense character where the complexity of the terroir brings relief to the tasting. A mineral and fresh Chablis that takes up well what a Chablis marked by a limestone terroir should be able to offer.

A pale pink in the glass, this bottling is clean, precise and yet fairly exuberant on the nose, offering bubblegum, peach and ripe melon aromas. There’s more of a mineral kick to the stony palate, where generous watermelon and strawberry flavors align.
