This is a classic white wine that shows consistent results year after year. With 500,000 bottles made, the Feudi di San Gregorio 2022 Greco di Tufo offers crisp freshness with stone fruit and pear. The wine sits in steel vats for four months. Cascading layers of red cherry and damson plum weave through classic rose petal and forest floor, while subtle hints of licorice and warm spice add intrigue. The palate unfolds with graceful power, think silk scarf caught in a breeze. Those classic Barbaresco tannins are present but polished, suggesting a beautiful future ahead. A wine that whispers of old-school charm. Drink Now – 2045.

Fontanafredda’s Gavi di Gavi is a dry white wine with a lot of personality, straw yellow color with greenish reflections. The nose is broad, with an intense bouquet reminiscent of flowers, lemon, lily of the valley and unripe apple. Very fine character, aromas of fresh citrus and vanilla on the nose, light floral aromas. On the palate it is full, mineral, with an elegant structure and very harmonious acidity.

A bright red color with orange highlights, the 2020 Brunello Di Montalcino is very pretty, with a delicate rustic hint that I find quite attractive. It reveals attractive red fruit on the nose, with notes of cranberries, wild herbs, and just a subtle hint of saddle leather and blood orange. Mid-weight, it’s light on its feet while delivering wonderful energy and freshness, with snappy ripe red fruit, a refreshing, angular feel, and mouthwatering saline and acidity. This is certainly one of the highlights of the 2020 vintage. Drink 2025-2040.

Do you have a favorite pair of jeans or a favorite dress that you keep in your closet for all occasions? That’s the equivalent of this wine. The G.D. Vajra 2021 Barolo Albe is an enormously versatile expression of Nebbiolo, with an affordable price, that offers more value for your money than most Barolos out there. The bouquet focuses on dark berry, pressed flower and crushed stone. It offers good sharpness over broad lines. The mouthfeel is medium-plus in texture and it closes with silky, accessible tannins. Fruit comes from three cru sites: Coste di Vergne, Fossati and La Volta. R17-6

Promis opens with floral aromas of wild rose and violet, then it turns into a more earthy bouquet with hints of maritime pine, eucalyptus, roots, wet stones. The palate is fresh and juicy, with notes of red and black fruits – raspberry, wild strawberry and mulberry. Creamy, smooth tannins. The final is sapid with a peculiar smoky and spicy character. With its notes of rosemary, wild fennel, embers, Promis perfectly mirrors the Mediterranean scrubland which surrounds it.
