Chateau Fontenil 2020 Red Blend Fronsac
Price range: $39.99 through $198.00Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
The classic 2020 Chateau Fontenil from this Fronsac chateau is a winner and well worth a case purchase. Giving up lots of spiced red and black fruits, smoked tobacco, and flowery incense notes, it’s medium to full-bodied, has a round, supple, elegant texture, beautiful tannins, and nicely integrated oak. This sexy, seamless, straight-up impressive Fronsac will evolve for at least a decade. SP51-12

Château Fortia 2021 Châteauneuf-du-Pape Cuvée Du Baron
Price range: $39.99 through $210.00Southern Rhone Valley France
James Suckling 93 Rating
Dark and balsamic nose with wet earth and licorice aromas plus a touch of bark. Rich and full-bodied, but focused and bright, this is an excellent special cuvee of Chateauneuf. Its long, tense, stony and licorice finish suggests this has excellent aging potential. Sustainable. Drink or hold.

Chateau Francs Bories 2018 Red Blend
Price range: $17.99 through $180.00St Emilion Bordeaux France
2018 was a great vintage in Bordeaux so even this quiet basic saint Emilion is doing well. A blend of Merlot and CF, nose full of red currant, black current and dark fruits, medium body with nice tannins and good acidity, quiet young and fruity, not very complex and easy to drink.

Chateau Gaby 2014 Red Bordeaux
Price range: $49.99 through $456.00Canon-Fronsac France
This wine is lovely in color: an intense red with bright tints. Hints of pretty, red fruit are complemented by flavors of black fruit in some vintages. Discretely woody undertones highlight the classy nature of this wine. Very ripe, very elegant flavors with slightly toasted and spicy hints linger on the finish. All the wines from Château Gaby pair well with buttery foods, sharp cheeses, roasted meats, and veal. R2-1

Chateau Gaudin 2019 Grand Vin Pauillac

Still with its firm tannins, this dense wine is promising. Its ripe blackberry fruits and concentrated tannins will shortly begin to soften into a well-rounded, balanced and juicy wine. *Cellar Selection*

Chateau Grand-Puy-Ducasse 2022 Bordeaux Blend Pauillac
Price range: $69.99 through $360.00Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
The 2022 Château Grand-Puy Ducasse is a gorgeous effort that might surpass the 2020 when all is said and done. Largely Cabernet Sauvignon (58%) yet with a solid dose of Merlot (40%) and a splash of Petit Verdot, this beauty exhibits a deep purple hue as well as powerful aromatics of blackcurrants, spicy oak, freshly sharpened lead pencils, and a chalky sense of minerality. Medium to full-bodied on the palate, this broad, layered, beautifully textured, and concentrated Pauillac has building tannins, plenty of mid-palate depth, and a great finish.

Chateau Grange-Neuve 2021 Pomerol

Wine Enthusiast 92 Rating
Aged for up to 18 months in wood, this wine has a developed a polished character. The Merlot gives a tobacco and spice aroma and rich tannins. The ripeness of the wine, balanced by a juicy aftertaste, suggests further aging. Drink from 2027.

Chateau Gruaud Larose 2018 Saint-Julien
$129.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
Based on 67% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot, and the rest Cabernet Franc, the 2018 Château Gruaud Larose sports a dense purple hue as well as a stunning nose of pure crème de cassis, cedar pencil shavings, blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, and a liquid rock-like sense of minerality. This dense, almost broodingly backward, concentrated Saint-Julien has flawless balance, a remarkable sense of purity, masses of tannins, and one hell of a great finish. Seemingly almost from a more austere year (say 2000 or 2010), it's not going to hit maturity for at least a decade and should cruise in cold cellars for 20-30 years. It's a brilliant wine!
