Greywacke 2024 Sauvignon Blanc
$24.99 – $264.00Marlborough New Zealand
Enticing aromas of cassis, lemon sorbet and green mango, with a delicate dusting of white pepper spice. On the palate, juicy Winter Cole pear and baked apple pie notes are lifted by fragrant layers of elderflower, yuzu and ripe citrus. An elegant yet striking interpretation of Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc – textural and opulent, lifted and lingering.

The 2019 Fume Blanc Estate delivers fabulously flamboyant scents of pink grapefruit, passion fruit and lime cordial with wafts of lemon blossoms, mandarin peel and struck flint. The medium-bodied palate is packed with pure, zesty, expressive tropical and citrus layers plus tons of minerally accents and herbal sparks lifting the finish. It's irresistibly delicious now, but I'd love to see it with 2-3 years of bottle age too.

This beautiful, elegant Rosé begins with aromas of fresh pluots, strawberries, juicy peaches and pears, all supported by hints of rosemary and blood orange. The flavors are a delightful mix of grapefruit, strawberry, peach and canary melon. Guado al Tasso 2016 Bolgheri Superiore
$159.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 98 Rating
Beautiful center palate of fruit here with ripe and silky tannins that are resolved and fine-grained. Full-bodied, polished and ever so refined. Oyster shell, stone and hints of rosemary and lavender. Driven finish. Better after 2022. R39-1 -
Guado al Tasso 2019 Bolgheri Superiore
$139.99Tuscany Italy
James Suckling 98 Rating
This has a wild and perfumed nose of dried thyme, sage, blackberries, cocoa, graphite and white and green peppercorns. Then dried flowers. Full-bodied with firm, tight and precise tannins. Vibrant. There’s so much character and structure. A new benchmark for this winery. More cabernet franc than in the past. Best yet? 65% cabernet sauvignon, 25% cabernet franc and 10% merlot. Try from 2025. Guado al Tasso 2023 iL Bruciato
$29.99 – $276.00Tuscany Italy
Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
The 2023 Il Bruciato boasts a dark purple hue and exudes baked aromas of plum, pie spice, balsamic, and rich earth. Full-bodied, the palate is generous and rounded, with supple ripe tannins providing a fleshy sensation through the finish. I would prefer to enjoy this while it retains some freshness over the near term. This vintage is a blend of 37% Cabernet Sauvignon, 28% Cabernet Franc, 19% Merlot, and the remainder Syrah and Petit Verdot.

Guidobono Birbet Piedmont
$24.99Italy
The Birbet is a sparkling red wine made from 100% Brachetto, the black-skinned variety best known for its sweet and frothy dessert wines. This is a fun and fruity, highly aromatic wine with classic perfumes of strawberry, raspberry and red roses. It is lovely paired with chocolate, fruit desserts and panna cotta, but can also accompany savory treats like light antipasti and cheeses. -
Guigal 2019 Gigondas
$39.99 – $198.00Southern Rhone Valley France
Wine Spectator 91 Rating
Understated style, with light incense and worn cedar notes running along the edges of the slightly dried currant, raspberry and red cherry fruit flavors. The cedary edge lingers longest in the end. Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre. Best from 2023 through 2030.

Hacienda Lopez de Haro 2018 Crianza
$13.99 – $144.00Rioja Spain
Cherry color, with russet tones around the rim. Assemblage of aromas from the barrel (cream, cocoa, and vanilla) with black as well as ripe fruits. Typical Tempranillo licorice aromas at the end with spicy notes. On the palate, it has a pleasant, elegant profile and it shows fresh sensations from beginning to end. A good structure, provided by the Tempranillo variety, but with the velvety character of its barrel aging. In the end it is reminiscent of cherry and leaves a very pleasant unctuous feeling.
