Domaine Lucien Boillot 2019 Gevrey Chambertin 1er Cru Les Corbeaux
$119.99Cote de Nuits Burgundy France
Jasper Morris 92 Rating
Mid purple with a sterner bouquet. The Corbeaux displays a delicious sweetness of fruit on the palate before a firmer structure behind medium to long finish. Not immediately seductive but with plenty of promise for the longer term especially as the wine stays fresh at the back. SP3-1 -

Domaine Huet 2018 Le Haut Lieu Moelleux Vouvray

The 2018 Vouvray Le Haut-Lieu Moelleux is clear and seductively ripe on the elegant, still yeasty nose with a mineral backbone and its chalky background. Sweet and lush but fine and filigreed on the palate, this is a salty, frisky, elegant, densely woven and well-structured Haut-Lieu with fine tannins and a long, complex finish that is rich and finessed at the same time, with lingering piquancy and stimulating salinity. This 2018 is a very charming but also serious Chenin Blanc with fine tannins, good tension and aging potential. R33-4 -

Chateau Bellefont-Belcier 2020 Saint-Emilion Grand Cru
Price range: $64.99 through $300.00Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
The finest wine I've tasted from this estate, the 2020 Chateau Bellefont-Belcier is an incredibly gorgeous blend of 70% Merlot, 25% Cabernet Franc, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon. Deep ruby/purple-hued, it offers a great nose of cassis, ripe black cherries, camphor, dried flowers, cedar, and forest floor. Bringing gorgeous richness, it nevertheless stays flawlessly balanced, with ultra-fine tannins and a great finish. The purity of fruit here is just about off the charts. While it already offers pleasure, it's going to benefit from short-term cellaring and have 20-25 years of prime drinking. This estate uses a five-day cold soak and fermentation, all in concrete, spanning 25 days. Malolactic fermentation occurs in barrel (four months on lees), and the wine spends 18 months in 30% new French oak, with the balance in once- and twice-used barrels. Yields in 2020 were also reasonable at 34 hectoliters per hectare. Best After 2026. SPBX-6 SP56-4

I always love this wine, and the 2020 Chateau Barde-Haut is a quintessential Saint-Emilion revealing a deep ruby/purple hue, awesome notes of red plum, cherries, tobacco leaf, and chalky earth, full-bodied richness, bright acidity, and fine tannins. A gorgeous wine, it will benefit from 4-5 years of bottle age and keep for two decades. Best After 2027. SP58-12
