This shows density and structure for a 2015 with ripe tannins and bright fruit character. Full body. Chewy texture. Extremely well done for Médoc.

Chateau Senejac 2018 Haut-Medoc
Price range: $29.99 through $300.00Bordeaux France

The 2018 Sénéjac has an attractive bouquet of blackberry and raspberry fruits, touches of graphite and pressed flowers. I admire the precision of this Haut-Médoc. The palate is medium-bodied with fine-grained tannins, well-judged new oak (25%) and a touch of dark chocolate toward the finish. This has real panache and class and comes highly recommended.

Extremely juicy cassis and enticing hedgerow here, this is bright, perky, less flesh on the bones than 2018 but with plenty of character. It settles in the glass, and you feel the build up of tannins. Will be interesting to taste in bottle, there is real potential here.

A brilliant entry of plum blossom, and boysenberry, brimming with brown sugared cedar. Cocoa dust and the sultry tone of new leather forms around supple, yet chewy tannins. Well-built from start to finish. R40-3 vtg 2021

Made from all estate-grown grapes on the Sonoma side of Chardonnay, this lush, ripe and creamy wine is part of a renaissance for one of Sonoma’s 20th-century pioneers. Beautiful pear and juicy apple notes blend with hints of lemon zest, butter and vanilla. Barrel-fermented and beautiful.

The five Bordeaux blending grapes give this wine its name, a true icon in California winemaking. From its inky black-carmine hue to its dusty, teeth-gripping nature, it’s a muscle-bound athlete. The dynamic foundation of graphite and new leather, wrapped in plum skin, espresso and violets gives a view into its deep soul.

While the wine is not ultrarich in texture, it is beautifully balanced between zesty citrus and plenty of serious botrytis and honey flavors. Showing a delicious orange marmalade character, it is ready for aging. SPCAB1-6 -

Chateau Tour St-Christophe 2018 St-Emilion Grand Cru
$49.99Bordeaux France
Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
Emerging from a beautiful, terraced vineyard on the eastern side of Saint-Emilion, the 2018 Château Tour Saint Christophe is based on 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc that was brought up in 40% new French oak. Its vivid purple color is followed by a great nose of blackcurrants, blueberries, tobacco leaf, chocolate, violets, and chocolate. Hitting the palate with medium to full-bodied richness, it has this wonderful sense of purity and elegance, a touch of chalky minerality, flawless balance, and a great finish. This beautiful, elegant, seamless Saint-Emilion needs 4-5 years of bottle age but will evolve for 20-25 years. You won't regret having this in the cellar. 95+. SP54-8 R7-2
