  • La Bette by Jeff Carrel 2020 Cotes du Roussillon Villages

    $19.99$192.00

    Languedoc France
As lively as you could wish, La Bette graces any table with amazing ease! Everything about this wine is reminiscent of this lovely Southern region: the generosity of its ubiquitous, juicy dark fruits, the feisty character that comes through in its lightly spicy notes and its immediacy, which recalls pleasure in the good things in life. Even the label is a homage to Languedoc: ‘bette’ is the name for the typical fishing boats of Côtes Catalanes. If you love Roussillon, then this is for you!

  • Cala Civetta 2021 Ciliegiolo Maremma Toscana

    $15.99$156.00

    Tuscany Italy
Believed to be a parent to Sangiovese (based on DNA evidence) Ciliegiolo certainly has plenty of telltale cherry aromas and flavors to offer. That said, this grape is slightly different than its offspring: richer in phenols and darker in color, it has softer, rounder tannins and less acidity, making it the perfect, approachable glass with a classic Tuscan meal. In the case of Cala Civetta, the wine is lean and clean, with a high-energy mouthfeel, ripe fruit, and a crowd-pleasing finish. A wonderful option from the Maremma that is both familiar and fresh at once.

  • Chateau Brane-Cantenac 2019 Bordeaux Blend Grand Cru Classe

    $99.99

    Margaux Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
One of the standout Margaux, the 2019 Château Brane-Cantenac shows more elegance and finesse in its tannins and structure than most. Giving up a beautifully complex nose of cassis and black raspberry fruits as well as cedary spice and spring flowers, it’s medium to full-bodied on the palate, has a seamless mouthfeel, beautiful purity and precision, and a great finish. This is certainly the finest vintage I’ve tasted from this Chateau, surpassing even the 2018, although comparing these two vintages side by side over the coming years will be a true treat. Drink this beauty any time over the coming 20-25 years. Best after 2022. SP52-6

This wine has a dense character, with rich fruits and blackberry flavors heightened by the tannins. Because of the heat of Margaux, the wine is rich while always elegant. Organic and biodynamic. SP47-6 SPBX-6

  • Chateau Brane-Cantenac 2020 Bordeaux Blend Grand Cru Classe

    $99.99

    Margaux Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
This estate has been on a roll, and their 2020 Chateau Brane-Cantenac is another brilliant wine that readers will love. Largely in the mold of the 2019, it has a deep purple hue as well as an incredible bouquet of blackcurrants, black cherries, freshly sharpened pencils, tobacco, and flowers. This medium to full-bodied, richly textured, concentrated, yet remarkably elegant 2020 has the vintage’s fresher, focused, elegant profile but still brings plenty of flesh and opulence. Beautifully done, it’s going to evolve for a solid 30 years in cold cellars and offer incredible pleasure all its life. Best After 2027. SP47-6

  • Heitz 2018 ‘Lot C-91’ Cabernet Sauvignon

    $99.99$960.00

    Napa Valley California
    Wine Spectator 93 Rating
Expressive, with a bold menthol note followed quickly by boysenberry and blackberry compote flavors wrapped in black licorice. The long finish has a tug of earth amid a generally velvety feel, while the menthol note curls around the fruit. Distinctive.

  • Villa Creek 2021 Rocks & Flowers Rhone Blend

    $44.99$210.00

    Paso Robles California
    Vinous 93 Rating
The 2021 Rocks & Flowers wafts up with a Grenache-driven bouquet with wild strawberries, sweet florals and spice. Round and juicy in character, this impresses with a reverberation of zesty acidity that adds wild energy as ripe raspberry fruits cascade throughout. It finishes crisp and fresh, only gently tannic, while calling the taster back to the glass. 61% Grenache, 25% Syrah, 10% Carnigan, 10% Mourvèdre & 2% Petit Sirah. R9-4
