The NV Brut Rosé 1er Cru is another deep, flavorful Champagne from Veuve Fourny. Here the blend of equal parts Chardonnay and Pinot (including 15% still Pinot) yields a powerful, resonant Chardonnay. Deceptive in its mid-weight feel, the Rosé is beautifully persistent, finely cut and nuanced to the core. Citrus, chalk and white pepper overtones add brightness and cut throughout. What a gorgeous wine this is. Dosage is 6 grams per liter. Disgorged: August 2018.
