  • Martinelli 2017 Zio Tony Pinot Noir

    $69.99

    Russian River Valley California
    Antonio Galloni 95 Rating
The 2017 Pinot Noir Zio Tony Ranch brings together all the best elements of the Martinelli house style. Sweet dark cherry, plum, spice, lavender, leather and menthol flesh out in the glass. Juicy and voluptuous, yet also medium in body, the 2017 has so much to give in an up-front style that offers tons of near and medium term appeal. SP5-2

  • Kosta Browne 2016 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands

    $69.99

    California
    Jeb Dunnuck 93 Rating
From a mix of Garys’, Rosella’s, and Soberanes vineyard (there’s also a tiny amount of Pisoni), the 2016 Pinot Noir Santa Lucia Highlands leads with its beautiful fruit and has lots of blueberries, cherries, spices, and candied violet-like aromas and flavors. Drink this medium-bodied, seamless, elegant 2016 anytime over the coming 4-6 years. R40-2 SP9-6

A step up over the Russian River blend, the 2016 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast offers more red fruits, raspberries, flowers, and rose petal notes, with a pinewood/forest floor character developing with time in the glass. This medium-bodied, silky, elegant Pinot Noir has a terrific sense of minerality, integrated acidity, and a complex, nuanced style that’s going to evolve nicely for 7-8 years. R9-2 SP9-3

  • Kosta Browne 2015 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

    $69.99

    Sonoma County California
    Jeb Dunnuck 92 Rating
The 2015 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast is straight up classic. Black raspberries, spice, caramelized cherries and forest floor characteristics all flow to a rich, balanced, gorgeously textured wine that has perfectly integrated fruit, tannin and alcohol. It has fine, yet present tannin and a great finish. R8-2 SP9-2

  • Vincent Girardin 2017 Meursault

    $69.99

    Burgundy France
    Jeb Dunnuck 91 Rating
Coming from 60-year-old vines and brought up in 15% new oak, the 2017 Meursault Les Vieilles Vignes offers a solid bouquet of stone fruits and buttered citrus as well as green almonds and white flowers. Nicely textured, medium-bodied, and elegant on the palate, with a subtle sense of minerality on the finish, it's an outstanding, classy Meursault to enjoy over the coming 7-8 years or so. R36-2

  • Tensley 2016 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard

    $69.99

    Santa Barbara County California
    Jeb Dunnuck 97 Rating
From the estate vineyard located high up in the hills above Los Olivos, the 2016 Syrah Colson Canyon Vineyard has an exotic, beautifully pure bouquet of blueberries, wild strawberries, crushed violets, menthol, and cracked pepper. One of the more pure, elegant and ethereal examples of this Syrah I can recall, it's a sensational, incredibly compelling, weightless beauty that does everything right. It too can shine today yet has the capacity to age gracefully for 10-15 years. SP19-2

  • Gramercy Cellars 2015 Syrah Lagniappe

    $69.99

    Columbia Valley Washington State
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Always one of my favorite releases from this estate, the 2015 Syrah Lagniappe is 100% Syrah (mostly from the Red Willow Vineyard in Yakima, with 5% from the Forgotten Hills Vineyard just south of Walla Walla). Deep ruby/plum-colored and loaded with Côte Rôtie-like (Côte Blonde?) notes of black raspberries, crushed flowers, tapenade, and crushed flowers, this beauty is medium to full-bodied, seamless, and silky on the palate, with incredible finesse and elegance. It's going to benefit from 3-4 years of bottle age and knock your socks off over the following decade or more. It’s unquestionably one of the wines of the vintage. R16-1 SP19-2

  • Cliff Lede 2018 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $69.99

    Stags Leap District Napa Valley
    Wine Enthusiast 95 Rating
Blended with 13% Merlot and smaller amounts of Malbec, Petit Verdot and Cabernet Franc, this is a focused and youthfully grippy wine, showing a fervor of succulent red- and black-currant and licorice. Thick, rich and intensely structured, it possesses a mineral-like earthiness of crushed rock and enduring structure. R13-1

  • Inglenook 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon

    $69.99

    Napa Valley California
    Jeb Dunnuck 94 Rating
The base cuvée is the 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon, which is 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Merlot, 4% Petit Verdot, and 1% Malbec sourced all from Rutherford. It has a classic, Saint Julien-like bouquet of crème de cassis, tobacco lead, damp earth, and spice that gives way to a full-bodied, concentrated, textured Cabernet that hits all the right marks. The top Rubicon release has a touch more elegant and precision, but this isn't far off. Drink this stunner any time over the coming 20 years or more. SPCAB1-8
