  • Kistler 2015 Pinot Noir Sonoma Coast

    $99.99

    California
    Vinous 91 Rating
Kistler's 2015 Pinot Noir (Sonoma Coast) is lifted and gracious, with expressive floral notes and bright red berry fruit. The purity of the flavors is quite remarkable. I thought, and frankly expected, the 2015 to retain a bit more of the exuberance it showed from barrel. Today, the Sonoma Coast Pinot has developed into a wine of finesse and understatement rather than raciness. Even so, it is very pretty. R17-2 SP7-6

  • Hartford Court 2015 Pinot Noir MacLean’s Block Vineyard

    $79.99

    Russian River Valley California

Also from the Green Valley portion of the Russian River Valley, from two separate blocks in the vineyard, the 2015 Pinot Noir MacLean's Block offers ample black cherries, exotic darker fruits, some toasty oak, medium to full body, and a lush, rounded, deep style on the palate. This cuvée sees a touch of whole cluster inclusion and is aged in 29% new French oak. Give this savory, rich, concentrated (masculine even) Pinot Noir a few years and enjoy over the following decade. • Hartford Court 2015 Pinot Noir Arrendell Vineyard

From the oldest vines planted in the 1970s, the 2015 Pinot Noir Arrendell Vineyard is a perfumed, spicy wine that's just singing on the nose. Ripe cherries, raspberries, candied orange, and exotic spices give way to a medium to full-bodied, supple, seamless Pinot Noir. It has bright acidity, sweet, vibrant, fruit, notable tannin, and a great finish. Like a lot of the wines here, it has the fruit to shine, but this is certainly one of the more structured and tannic wines in the lineup. SP7-4

  • Wayfarer 2017 Pinot Noir Wayfarer Vineyard

    $89.99

    Sonoma Coast California
    Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The largest production cuvée based on a mix of clones, the 2017 Pinot Noir Wayfarer Vineyard was mostly destemmed and spent 15 months in 50-60% new French oak. It reveals a bright ruby-tinged color and offers a feminine style in its notes of raspberries, flowers, rose hips, and spice. It’s fine, incredibly elegant, has fine tannins, and just glides over the palate. SP7-6

  • Cayuse 2016 Syrah En Cerise Vineyard

    $139.99

    Walla Walla Valley
    Jeb Dunnuck 99 Rating
The 2016 Syrah En Cerise Vineyard is another winner (best to date?), showing an incredibly bloody, iron quality as well as beautiful purity in its bright cherry, blackberries, violets, pork fat, and acacia flower aromas and flavors. Seamless, silky, gorgeous, and perfectly balanced, it's another heavenly wine from Baron that’s going to benefit from 2-3 years of bottle age and cruise for 10-15. R10-1

  • Aperture Cellars 2018 Red Blend

    $59.99

    Alexander Valley California
    Wine Advocate 96 Rating
The 2018 Red Blend is composed of 39% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 22% Malbec, 3% Cabernet Franc and 3% Petit Verdot. The nose offers vibrant berry scents with accents of charcuterie, mint chocolate, cigar wrapper, violets and pencil shavings aromas, and the palate is powerful but featherweight, silky and fresh with a very long, layered finish. I love this balance of ripe fruit, mineral nuance, aromatic purity and structural power. This has the potential to grow into even more of a beauty with some time in bottle.

  • Maxem 2019 UV Vineyard Chardonnay

    $89.99

    Sonoma Coast California
    Wine Advocate 96 Rating
Made from 100% Wente Clone Chardonnay, this barrel sample of the 2019 Chardonnay UV Vineyard is set to be aged for 15 months in French oak and concrete egg. It delivers notes of crushed rocks and chalk dust over a core of white peaches and fresh pears plus a hint of toasted almonds. Medium to full-bodied, it is wonderfully expressive in the mouth with tons of stone fruit and spicy layers, finishing with great length. 250 cases are due to be made.

  • Beau Marchais 2019 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard

    $84.99

    Santa Lucia Highlands California
    Jeb Dunnuck 96 Rating
I loved these wines from barrel last year, and they didn't disappoint from bottle. Starting with the Santa Lucia Highlands release, the 2019 Pinot Noir Soberanes Vineyard has a deep, nuanced yet powerful style that offers impressive black raspberry and red currant fruits to go with lots of spice, loamy soil, spring flower, and earthy forest floor notes. Gorgeously textured on the palate, this medium to full-bodied Pinot has ripe, polished tannins, a great mid-palate, and the fruit and opulence to drink nicely today yet also evolve for a good 7-8 years, if you're so inclined. • Paul Lato 2018 Pinot Noir Solomon Hills Vineyard

    $79.99

    Santa Maria Valley California
    Jeb Dunnuck 98 Rating
Leading off the Pinot Noirs, the 2018 Suerte Solomon Hills Vineyard comes from a great vineyard just west of Bien Nacido and spent 17 months in 60% new French oak. Lots of black raspberries, spiced cherries, salty sea breeze, flowers, orange blossom, and violet notes emerge from the glass, and it's beautifully textured, full-bodied, and incredibly sexy on the palate. It's stunning today yet will evolve for upwards of a decade. SP9-7
