Produced from 100% Calera Clone, the 2019 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is a barrel sample, set to be aged for 15 months in French oak, 75% new. Medium ruby-purple in color, the nose gives up bold scents of warm blackberries, mulberries and black cherry compote with hints of violets, dark chocolate and cardamom. • Antica Terra 2017 Botanica Pinot Noir

    $169.99

    Willamette Valley Oregon
Botanica is an expression of the fecundity and fertility of the flora of this place. It tends towards sappy, sanguine, with a taste of wild rose, sour cherries, and blood orange. It is tempting to define it solely by its compelling texture and lush personality, but there is a structural element that is equally striking. This balance between extraordinary concentration and pronounced tension is the essence of the wine. R45-1

Deeply colored, with ripe cherries, underbrush, black currants, graphite, blood orange, and forest floor notes, it hits the palate with full-bodied richness, ample tannin, a big mid-palate, and a blockbuster finish. Despite being a rich, powerful wine, it shows remarkable elegance and purity, as well as a weightless, seamless texture. SP9-2

  • Aubert 2016 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard

    $199.99

    Sonoma Coast California
    Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
Leading off the Pinot Noirs, this is unquestionably the finest set of releases from the estate I’ve ever tasted, and it appears some of the magic Mark finds with his Chardonnays is finding its way over to the Pinot Noirs. The 2016 Pinot Noir UV Vineyard is 100% Calera clone (which reportedly comes from Vosne-Romanée) from a site in the Sonoma Coast and was brought up in 60-70% new French oak. It also saw around 10-20% whole clusters. Incredible ripe cherries, strawberries, exotic spices, blood orange, and floral notes all soar from this transparently colored, multi-dimensional, layered Pinot Noir that has no hard edges, ultra-fine tannin, and a finish that just won’t quit. It’s the finest Pinot Noir ever made from this address. SP7-5

  • Chateau Les Carmes Haut-Brion 2018 Red Pessac-Leognan

    $199.99

    Bordeaux France
    Jeb Dunnuck 100 Rating
The 2018 Château Les Carmes Haut-Brion is a rock star of a wine and is based on a unique blend of 37% Cabernet Franc, 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, and 29% Merlot that was brought up in 80% new French oak. Offering a deep ruby/purple color as well as a thrilling bouquet of blackcurrants, smoked tobacco, chocolate, violets, damp earth, and truffle, it hits the palate with a full-bodied yet almost understated, building style that carries ripe, supple tannins, gorgeous amounts of smoky black fruits, and an endearing, layered, multi-dimensional texture that keeps you coming back to the glass. A dead ringer for a great vintage of Haut-Brion, it is far from unapproachable today yet needs 7-8 years of bottle age for the fireworks to develop and will have 50-years or more of longevity! Hats off to Guillaume Pouthier for a magical, seamless, singular beauty! SP58-18

  • Kosta Browne 2016 Gap’s Crown Pinot Noir

    $139.99

    Sonoma Coast California
    Jeb Dunnuck 95 Rating
The 2016 Pinot Noir Gaps Crown comes from a great, great site on the Sonoma Coast and saw 15% whole clusters and 40% new wood. It’s a deep, rich, blacker fruit-driven effort that shows more and more savory, iron, and earthy notes with time in the glass. It’s ripe and opulent on the palate, with building tannin, yet packs a wealth of fruit and texture, while still showing the more elegant, balanced style of the vintage. SP9-3
