Medium purple in color, the 2020 Cabernet Sauvignon by Blackboard has aromas of slight oak and red licorice. On the palate, dusty chocolate, black cherry, blueberry compote, and slight vanilla bean are all present. This wine has a pleasurable mouthfeel, with minimal tannins, and is well structured. This is an easy drinking, a fruit-forward, and gratifying effort that should be enjoyed over the next five years. As with all Blackboard offerings, it is a great value and a wine you can stock up on without breaking the bank.

Our 2021 Jack’s Cabin Zinfandel is a delicious and complex wine. Shy in its initial presentation, this incredible Rockpile Zinfandel is just starting to reveal its detail and incredible energy. Aromatics include sticky blackberry compote, espresso grounds and purple iris petal, with a soft dusting of cedar and vanilla. A beautiful intensity persists on the palate, with explosive fresh blue and black fruits, coffee bean and dried herbs. An almost chewy texture balances generous tannins and a lingering fresh finish.
