Almost as expected, the Alto Moncayo from Campo de Borja has a powerful nose characterized by dark berries and fine wood spice, which increases in intensity and expressiveness over time and never seems to stop. On the tongue, this impression is immediately transported to the palate, while a balsamic mouthfeel takes it all for itself – a grainy tannin and a fresh acidity are a reminder that time is and remains a commandment. On the one hand, now that you have the wine in the glass, on the other hand, for the remaining bottles, which should disappear into the cellar for the time being. The promise for the future is one of power, opulence and velvetiness held together in a wonderfully elegant and structured way.
